Two trees are down in this area due to storm. Neighborhood residents removed trees from street and most of tree from sidewalk. Some of the trees have been cut into manageable pieces and are piled in yards. Some pieces weren’t able to be cut before dark.
I found a needle underneath a bench on the b-line this morning when I was opening the WonderLab garden gates. This happens every few months. Would it be possible to get a sharps container on the b-line? Or could the city help WonderLab get a sharps container? It is not on our property, but the presence of sharps could directly impact our visitors.
The grate cover of a drain in a parking lot here had fallen into the drain. The drain is located inside an HOA called Madison Park. We got the cover out and reinstalled it, but it is bent and needs to be replaced. Would this be a City responsibility or the responsibility of the HOA? Thank you for your help!
Hi, these two drains are partially clogged with gravel. I cleaned them with my hands but there’s a lot of dirt and gravel covering them and I don’t have time today to clean them properly. It would be really helpful if you could please remove the gravel from the drains, and from around the drains too. Thanks so much!
Hello - I am the homeowner at 102 South Waldron St. here in Bloomington. This past Friday my basement flooded an excessive amount (3 feet) due to water buildup on Waldron Street. This has happened 4 times over the past 6 years I have lived here because the water has nowhere to go due to the flat area at the bottom of Waldron Street. I am requesting a storm drain be installed on Waldron Street just North of my house and in front of 100 South Waldron Street. My neighbors basement has also been severely flooded over the years due to water buildup from the street - the homeowners name is Simon Ladd. We both have sub pumps in our basements (I actually have 2) and it still doesn’t solve the flooding issue. I have spoken to Mr. Ladd and we both agree the best solution is for the city to install a storm drain. My number is 812-369-0765. Water running out of ground for a week.
This property has vegetation overgrowth over the W. 3rd St. side and the Walker side of the property every year this is a problem every year it’s reported does the property owner not have a continued responsibility to maintain these walkways and site lines to the stop sign at Walker and third?
Has not mowed in 6 weeks, overgrowth on our property and all around fence line. Excessive growth around the house and inside the fence. Weeds over 6ft tall. Reported twice last year. In addition, not once cleaned off the sidewalk for snow. I will report this this year as well.
The front yard is VERY overgrown. The backyard is HORRENDOUS.
