I am writing to report a broken tree limb that poses a safety concern. It appears that the limb was damaged during the storm we experienced at the end of March 2023. The tree in question is located on city land outside of my property boundary at 1301 W. 8th Street in Bloomington. The broken limb is specifically situated at the intersection of Adams Street and 8th Street, where there is a significant amount of pedestrian traffic. The footpath visible in the attached picture is frequently used by pedestrians crossing from the sidewalk on Adams Street onto 8th Street. The presence of the broken tree limb in this area creates a potential safety hazard for pedestrians. Additionally, there is a slight concern that the broken limb obstructs the view of the Adams Street bridge for drivers turning right onto Adams Street from Fountain. This obstruction may affect the visibility of oncoming traffic, potentially leading to traffic incidents or delays. I kindly request that the relevant department of Bloomington takes immediate action to address this issue. It is crucial to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists in the area by removing the broken tree limb and conducting any necessary tree maintenance or inspection. There is a dead deer on the Clear Creek Trail just south of West That Road on the left hand side if you're travelling south on the trial. It's just beyond the .5 mile maker and West That Road Marker.

This mileage sign for walkers heading northwest on the Clear Creek Trail is totally unreadable. It is across from the hopscotch court on the little learning trail just south of That Road. Cheap to replace! I think it is meant to mark 0.5 mile point from the roundabout where CCT intersects with the Bloomington Rail Trail. We walkers like to know how far we’ve traveled! FYI the pavers under several of the benches on the trail are loose and could also use some work.

The tree on the right side of the house which is facing W twin oaks ridge is impassable on the sidewalk. Children walk home from school this route and the sidewalks need to be cleared of low hanging tree limbs. Thank you!
