I'm writing with a suggestion. I spend quite a bit of time walking and running within Bloomington. Outside of the B-line (where my experience has been mixed), I find that car drivers rarely yield to pedestrians and marked pedestrian crosswalks. I wanted to suggest that the city consider adding flashing lights to the signage at crosswalks, in the hope that it would make drivers aware they're approaching a crosswalk, and be more likely to yield to pedestrians. Please post an update on the Vernal Pike/Seventeenth Street project. Seventeenth Street was closed in April 2019 and was to be reopened in November 2019. When will the street be opened?

Thank you for the completion of the Sare Rd pedestrian path! Just outstanding! We who live in Hyde Park can now safely cross the street and access the neighborhoods and parks on the west side of the road and connect to Southeast Park! Wonderful!

The intersection of Adams and Kirkwood badly needs left turn signals. My wife and I deliver Meals on Wheels once a month. Our route has us coming down Adams from the north, and then turning eastward on Kirkwood. More than once we’ve found that turn difficult. Mostly it has been large streams of traffic coming toward us, making it hard to turn left. The worst has been when there seemed to be no traffic, but as we were ready to turn left, a car came fast up the hill toward us, and it was not visible until the last minute. Please fix this problem!

There are tall orange cones in front of 521 W. Kirkwood & pink paint marking the lawn & sidewalk. Same set-up across the street. If the city is planning to dig up something--pipes, et, will this affect where the BL Transit can pickup & drop passengers? I catch the bus in front of 521 to go to work. Thanks.

Trash and vehicles all over backyard

We are having issues with our neighbors at 1719 w. Gray street. They are offloading immense amounts of trash. They took loads and massive piles of trash and covered it with a tarp. These things have been reported before but they keep trying to hide it and cover it up. Also an RV has been moved onto the property and people are living in it, and it’s very unclean.
