Hi! This is a request for stop sign be placed on 14th Street at Entrance at The Stadnard and at entrance between 350 E. 14th St. and 450 E. 14th St. This will allow for residents to exit safely, pedestrians to cross the street safely and slow cars down
Parking on Strong Drive by Catalent employees and contractors has created hazardous conditions. Drivers have elected to park their vehicles on both the east and west sides of the street which creates a long narrow passageway that has multiple limited and blocked views for drivers navigating Strong Drive. The obstruction of Strong drive has generated much frustration and many complaints regarding safety, delay, lack of consideration. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the challenges of navigating safely through Strong Drive with the appropriate individual(s). The brush along the sidewalk has encroached so much that I have to step into the street in a few places. I’m sure the adjacent property is owned by the railroad. Can we clean it up and charge them? This area could use attention by Brighten BTown - the weeds are really tall along the curbs, and there have been many car accidents, but no follow up by a street sweeper.
See closed case #184736: in front of Mother Bear's on E Third Street. The metal drain cover on the sidewalk again has fallen in and is a tripping hazard for pedestrians. Maybe it is time to look for a more permanent solution rather than just putting it back in its place.
The owner of 408 S Mitchell now has created a couple of extra parking spaces in the yard on what used to be grass. Did they get a permit to do this?
The metal drain cover in front of Mother Bear's at 1428 E Third Street has fallen in (again). It clearly is not stable and one day someone may trip over it.
Case #180877 can now be closed, Mr. Stewart. As we had predicted about a year ago, that tree has fallen over.
Heading towards Eagleson, at the corners of University and Highland, and University and Eagleson: trees/shrubs on the left are blocking the view. Especially on University and Highland the 2 trees in the corner yard make it very hard to see any traffic coming from the left.
Tent at the corner of Walnut and E Second, in front of a bench in front of World Food Market. Is it legal to set up a tent there?
At 414 S Lincoln there is a nasty utility cut, no warning sign and no other option than to drive over it. Hope it can be fixed soon. Thanks!
