There is a very dangerous vehicular traffic pattern on S Woodlawn Ave between Sheridan Dr and E Hillside Dr, especially near the Grimes & Woodlawn and Weatherstone & Woodlawn intersections. There is a blind hill on Woodlawn that greatly decreases visibility for everyone. North @ south-bound vehicles on Woodlawn regularly break the speed limit by 20+ MPH and have even seen estimated speeds of 70+ mph. Sometimes vehicles "floor it" on Woodlawn southbound from Sheridan Ln stop sign. The city should consider installing a STOP sign on Woodlawn @ Grimes intersection to decrease the speed of North & South-bound traffic on Woodlawn Ave. The city should also consider additional signage to protect pedestrians who are crossing from Weatherstone Ln to Bryan Park. I have almost been hit there several times by speeding cars and trucks. This is a primary route for cyclists, pedestrians, commuting students, and dog-walkers. Pedestrians and cyclists crossing Woodlawn anywhere between Hillside and Sheridan Ave risk injury and death by vehicles speeding up and down the blind hill. Submitted a report but didn't show up in the system? Someone is going to die, likely multiple, if changes aren't made to Smith and 3rd. New 3rd by the State is great but has caused something to change with the Smith traffic. Left turners are hesitating backing up traffic (no big deal) but they are hesitating because cars behind them are zipping around going straight while folks are trying to wait and turn. Meaning the folks can't turn safely, and when they do POW crashes like tonight at 7 pm happen. Please do a traffic study and coordinate with the State for immediate safety improvement. Please do not punt this to the State, but be involved, as Bloomingtonions are going to die; forget traffic, this is about safety. Ideally there needs to be a left turn green arrow only and then a straight signal but that may need lanes. So I don't know the solution, but cars zipping around hitting left turners, etc. is NOT sustainble.

Someone has moved a sofa into the landscaped area at the corner of Madison and Patterson. Unfortunately I wonder if someone is sleeping on it. Regardless inappropriate to have this dumped on city property.

Since the end of the construction on 17th St, a crosswalk sign along with its pole has been lying on the ground. Several times, because it was an obstacle on the sidepath, I moved it to the side. The crosswalk is over 17th St just east of N Arlington Park Dr. It has curb cuts for a cross walk while it's not painted in the street. The sign should be either put up or taken away.
