Hello, Monroe Parks & Rec, This is just an FYI and hopefully an appeal for help. I contacted the sheriff’s office on Sunday, March 29, 2020 and since then the camping site looks to have expanded and the trash in the creek and along the road has increased. If you begin at the parking lot on Country Club and walk south on the gravel road that runs parallel to the trail, it takes about a 4-5 minute walk south to arrive at the spot. It is past the brush and next to the creek. There is a small orange tent and a large blue/green structure (I didn’t get too close), there is also something large in the creek that looks like bedding. I work in the County Government Center on the north end of the Showers Building. The HVAC unit associated with the City of Bloomington Government Center is creating so much noise that it is audible in my office. This is a public nuisance. Even to walk into the Showers Building at the 10th Street entrance is almost unbearable due to the screeching, incessant noise. Nobody should have to hear that awful noise. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to some peace and quiet. Curious to know when this HVAC unit was installed and if it is slated for replacement anytime soon.

The potholes going into The Village are INSANE. I have called and called the office and have yet to get a clear answer as to when these multiple potholes would be filled. One of my friends works in the office and said they are aware- and are also aware they are 4 inches deep. The road going into the complex is very narrow and now filled with potholes- making it impossible to avoid them. These will cause very serious damage to my car.

Hi! I am requesting parking lines be drawn in the parking area on 4th Street in front of 511 W 4th St. There is room for 5 cars to park comfortably and safely in this area. Frequently, people park incorrectly in this area, taking up multiple spots and limited the number of cars that can park in the area. I operate a business at 511 W 4th Street, Suite #2. We are a small PR firm that employs 20 people in Bloomington. We own the office space at 511 W 4th Suite 2. We would love to be able to maximize this convenient parking area for our employees by having parking lines drawn.

This is only one of the dumpsters currently at the limestone crossing apartments. We have called the limestone crossing office multiple times the past 2 months regarding how disgusting the dumpster is, I myself am to scared to even walk in there to throw away trash out of fear of bed bugs possibly being in there from the furniture. I am unsure who to reach out to about this issue.

This evening, March 4, 2024, around 6:11pm, we had 3 male adults ride down the B-Line trail on little motorbikes (not sure what they are technically called). There were 3 individuals. They were at the parking garage off 10th Street before going down the sidewalk to the B-Line, crossing Rogers St. at the trail Cross, and continuing down the B-Line trail towards Fairview St. I was able to take a quick 5second video of them and I screen grabbed a photo of each rider off of that. I however was only able to upload one photo to the form here. I'm not sure if they are allowed on the trail but I was thinking they weren't. If they are allowed it seems very dangerous to other trail users. If not allowed on the trail I am wondering if maybe the city could post a reminder on social media and possibly add signs at different points along the trail to remind users as to what is and isn't allowed on the trail. If you all want the video clip or the other screen grabbed images I am more than happy to get them to you all. Thanks for keeping our trail safe. It's one of my favorite things about Bloomington!

I wrote you 4/13/21 case number 175422 and have received no action or contact since. I have written in about this 2 other times over a year. See below. There are end constructions signs all over the area from a project that was completed a year ago. I see them at the entrance to Winlsow Farm Drive, and at apartment houses on Henderson St and other locations. Some one has dropped the ball for a year. Please get the signs removed, they are unsightly. At this point if there is not actions soon, I'll resort to contacting the Mayors office and the newspaper. For the life of me I cant understand that there was not a schedule to pick up the signs.

This package was stolen out of the 10th and College apartment complex mailroom. It was delivered at 1:04 on 2/4/23. It contained a refund check from the office of the Treasurer of the state of Illinois for a sum of money just over $1200. When I went to pick it up today at 1:30 pm it was missing.
