Snow needs removed on Stull Ave and Grimes, unable to access the street
Hello. We received notice that our street is looking at a traffic calming preapplication. It appears criteria include items such as police reports. Though that sort of data is important please please consider that reality is beyond just what the data paint. We pushed two cars out that drove into our yard in the snow already this week on east morningside and just now noticed another individual going much much too fast down the road while texting. Please look at the experiences of those who live on the street, complaints, maybe even photos households have, and otherwise solicit input of residents on the affected possible roads for improvements. Thank you.
Snow in the alley on west kirkwood. Between elm st and oak st. The driveways of the people who live on that stretch are only accessible by the alley and it hasn’t been cleared at all. Multiple cars have gotten stuck in the snow through out the day.
I reside @ 4130 W Briar Gate Dr. Please provide the name of the contractor that plows our area. This guy repeatedly plows snow in front of my mailbox from Willow Bend and he is unable to plow close to the curbs in the neighborhood, about 4 ft away. Better yet, have the guy stop by after 5, I would like to show him how to plow, as I am WIDOT certified and currently am a plow operator for Crane Navy Base.
The alley behind the house has 10 inches of snow, it is impossible for some cars, including mine, to pull out of the garage and exit on the main road. Is anyone coming to sweep the alley? This is a problem for other neighbors as well.
The cul-de-sac next to our house has not been properly plowed at all. It appears that the plow has come down Kensington Park Drive but is skipping the plowing of this cul-de-sac. Note that I am reporting about the cul-de-sac which is midway east on Kensington Park Drive and is on the north side, NOT the cul-de-sac which forms the end of Kensington Park Drive. If the problem is that a few cars are parked in the mid-way cul-de-sac next to our house, please contact the owners and tell them to pull the cars into their driveways. Thank you, and I hope you can take care of this ASAP. We are not able to get out to work because our car cannot navigate the snow-filled cul-de-sac.
Will the city snow removal plow this communal alley-way? It is off Woodlawn Avenue between 12th Street and 11th Street and goes through to Park Avenue.
Please check far East 3rd (past College Mall) and N. Smith for sidewalks. Saw a kid and his dad walking down E 3rd near Summerhouse since sidewalks were blocked in the area. Super dangerous to walk on a highway like that in the snow.
On 2/13, before the current snow, I walked to Kirkwood and back, 7 blocks on Washington and returning on Lincoln. I found only 2-3 houses that had clear sidewalks. What appeared to be rental houses, and there are many, were not cleared. It at one point made me walk in the street because of the depth and was blasted by a driver for doing so. I returned to the sidewalk as quickly as possible but it was not safe...ice had built up. So....after this snow, I see the same thing. One reason for being close to town is that you don't have to drive to do simple errands. What kind of call out to landlords and tenants can be made vs. imposing unwanted and probably ill received responses??? Thanks for listening and I hope to hear some kind of response.
Snow plowed from 3rd street deeply covers both sidewalks. No sidewalk for all the apartment dwellers to walk to get to the grocery store Fresh Thyme, Panera’s, etc.
