Large numbers of people appear to be living semi-permanently in Switchyard park, and are occupying shelter buildings, Bocce ball courts, and have setup tents near the woods by the creek. This situation has been going on all summer. Yesterday we saw a fairly large group assembled under the shelter directly next to the playground with a large amount of belongings next to them, including a large car wheel and tire. I am sensitive to the needs of the very large homeless population in our city, but there should also be a certain level of respect and rules that protect the experience for other users of the park. It would be a shame if this beautiful park is taken over like what happened with Seminary Park. Can clear guidelines be defined as to what will be done here, within the context of the larger homeless problem?

On the part of the B-Line trail just south of Switchyard Park, there are a few encampments, with tents, debris and trash to the east of the trail - this is on the first portion of the trail that is unpaved south of the B-Line Trail.

Please paint the pickle ball lines on the courts at the RCA park.
A portable toilet would have been nice these last few weeks.
Perhaps converting some of the tennis courts to pickle ball courts as more people are playing the sport now.

Seminary park is an absolute disgrace, but I’m sure you already know that. Apparently the city of Bloomington is perfectly fine with it.

The last couple of times we've visited the Switchyard park to play Bocce, the benches along the courts were overrun with people sleeping, drinking, and smoking. Not a very inviting or family friendly atmosphere. We also witnessed the same behaviours, along with what appeared to be drug use in the shelter house next to the playground. Will there be any enforcement of the rules at the park?

Storm Sewer drainage. uReport Case #174148 was closed. It was opened 2 weeks ago. I have cleared the drain twice since the problem. This was not taken care of in a timely manner and I want to file a complaint.

uReport Case #174148
The drain was cleared only because they are getting ready to do my leaves. This picture shows where the grass died because of them dumping what was in the great onto the grass 034 weeks ago. I filed that report then I have cleared it twice since cuz we've had two large rains over an inch and a half and two inches in my neighborhood. I find it a fallacy to say that it's been closed because they're coming to sweep up all the leaves and they happen to rake near it. As I said in an earlier you report I want to file a grievance on this case. I've lived here over 20 years and I fought with them to keep these drains clear and they cleaned all five of the other drains and left the one that's used the most full of leaves and then when they do clear it they dump the leaves up on the curb is summer winter anytime and it kills the grass. About the time we get the grass growing again somebody comes around and does it again. It's more than frustrating it's criminal.
