The road in front of my house has broken up so badly that it's an eyesore for the entire street. It looks as if the foundation underneath the street has collaped and it's also damaged the drainage ditch in front of my property. My neighbor Jerry Minger called months ago to report this problem but we have had no word from the city. Jerry was told that this issue was "on the list" and would be taken care of when the weather was warm enough. Can you please call me and let me know if this is going to be taken care of? Lights along the B-Line are out: 45, 46, 47, 77, 110, 121, and 139 need fixing! And now #60, too. And yet more, now 94. Wondering what the percentage of lights not working needs to be before they get fixed.

The trash collectors threw the garbage can in my garden. My neighbors, who enjoy my garden, took this photo and sent it to me. They were upset to see the flowers and herbs on front wall crushed. These plantings are for the enjoyment of the neighborhood and to support pollinators.

Yet again tonight I could not sit on my porch because of the hazy of toxic smoke in The Near West side neighborhood. This has been an ongoing issue for the last year and a half at least. Someone is burning trash or plastic on the other side of the rail lines on empty property to the north of the B-line between Adams and where 8th St ends next to White Oak cemetery. The smoke drifts across the neighborhood. I know a neighbor reported it on Saturday night and the police went to check the site out. But it also happened Sunday and tonight. What can be done about it? Such unhealthy air.

This neighbor consistently refuses to mow his lawn each year and will only mow it once in August. His weeds have now gotten well above 8 inches and are becoming a mosquito den. Thank you for the help.
