Homeless people sleeping in the woods across from the residence townhomes. They're making residents feel unsafe and unable to sit on their porches. They're leaving tremendous amounts of trash and human waste in the entire area. Have contacted police multiple times to report the trespassing.
I am a parent of a student living at Union Street Center Apartments. I have been observing this area for some time and feel there is a safety risk for pedestrians crossing from a parking lot to the Apartments. I have addressed this with the University and they said this had been passed on to Bloomington official and I never heard back from the city. They said its not their property and the City of Bloomington would need to address. I have tried emailing another official and again have not heard back. The issue is N. Union Street needs 2 Crosswalks at each end of the parking lot, with Yellow Flashing Warning Signs in each direction. In addition, the lighting is poor in that area, again increasing the risk at night. The Risk Analysis would show there is a high risk of Severity, Frequency, and Probability for an accident in this area. Cars traveling from 10th street to 3rd as a cut through are traveling down hill and pick momentum or speed. I would be happy to discuss this issue with anyone who will listen, so we all fully understand the issue.

Side and front yard overgrowth
Lamp post 134 on B-Line Trail appears to be out. This is a high-priority public safety issue as there have been assaults on this part of the trail recently.
While living at Terra Trace (321 E. 14th St) from 2020-2022 there were a lot of problems but one that should absolutely not be dismissed. I am disappointed that no one seems to realize the seriousness of this. On Aug 17, 2021, my neighbors set their stove on fire. Once I noticed the smoke smell, I went to the hallway to see what was going on and my neighbor explained what happened. They didn't know what to do so I pulled the fire alarm and it did not go off. I had to alert everyone by knocking on their doors to let them know the building wasn't safe and we needed to get out. I was told my claim was false and inaccurate. After some minor internet searches, I found that there was a fire here in 2011 (if I remember correctly) that killed a student. After finding this out, I knew I had to do more. I feel as if this apartment complex needs to be reevaluated for safety of the residents still living there. I will also be willing to provide more information, videos, etc about this incident. I have concerns about the tap water. It has a musty, mildew odor and taste.
Something is wrong with the telescope on the playground equipment at Butler park. My grand daughter's finger got pinched in it (it folded over on her finger) and 2 days later it is still hurting her. I hope this can be checked so no other child gets hurt. Seems to be defective? Thanks a lot.
