The intersection of Pete Ellis Dr./Discovery Parkway and 10th Street is used by residents of numerous apartment complexes, bus riders, and community members accessing the post office and the greenway that goes along 10th St. The intersection is necessary for access to Indiana University from Woodbridge and Fountain Park Apartments, which hosts many graduate students. However, there is no crosswalk, pedestrian lights, or sidewalk platforms to allow for safe crossing along this very busy intersection. Additionally, the traffic lights are not able to be seen from the four corners of the intersection, forcing pedestrians to make an educated guess on when to cross. In short, the intersection is dangerous and near impossible to cross. Would it be at all possible in the future to include a) a crosswalk b) a pedestrian crosswalk light c) sidewalk cutout/curb ramps on the two corners in which there is not one currently? The intersection of Pete Ellis and 10th St is incredibly dangerous for pedestrians. There are no crosswalks or pedestrian signals. Those living in Fountain Park Apartments must cross the street to access the bus stop and have no safe way of doing so.

The sidewalk in front of this complex (Townhouses on 10th) does not have ramps, just curbs, to cross the driveway to the complex. There is also a sunken area east of the complex entrance that is completely buried in dirt now (I'm not sure if it is on their property or on Woodbridge's, it is between). This makes it very difficult to walk through this area with a stroller and also makes it inaccessible to anyone unable to step down or up on a curb (and when it rains, the dirt-covered area turns into mud and gets pretty slick). There are some other areas that have shifted so the sidewalk is no longer even as well.

The resident at the corner of Morningside Drive and Park Lane is running a scooter business in his front yard and on the street. He also has a great deal of trash in his driveway, on the lawn, and along both sides of the house. The scooter business involves going around town, picking up scooters, and recharging their batteries. He has two trailers and at least one is always parked on the street. The trailer and the towing pickup typically jut out into the traffic lanes and create a hazard on an alreaddy overcrowded street. I request that the city take action regarding these complaints. Park Lane is a relatively heavy travelled road because it has no speed bumps. Adding these trailers into the mix is going to cause accidents....

A house on my street has become a transition house for alcoholic woman. My opinion is that this primarily one-family house has become a hotel. This neighborhood isn’t zoned to all allow businesses. The renter has had eight tires sitting in front of his garage since August of 2023. He has been asked to remove them but he only parked his huge white SUV in front of them. 1. they are unsightly 2. during the warm months the mosquitos will breed in the trapped water.

Again, I ask for speed bumps. Traffic count doesn't matter. Renters, a shortcut mentality, and the fact that we DO NOT HAVE SIDEWALKS are the problem. I work from home now and take frequent walks, as do my neighbors. PLEASE help us! Thank you.

I have speeding cars using my street (East Park Lane) as a shortcut from/to Smith Rd to 3rd St/Pete Ellis. This will only get worse when the new IU hospital opens. We have new families with children walking and biking this street. There isn't a sidewalk and this isn't about the amount of traffic. It is a road psychology issue. An example: delivery and lawn-care trucks w/trailers use out street to avoid the speedbumps on Morningside and Longview. Thank you for your attention.
