The vast majority of cars do not yield to pedestrians looking to cross the street using the crosswalk at the intersection of 3rd and Grant. Oftentimes when a car in one of the lanes yields to a crossing pedestrian, cars in the other lane will not yield and drive straight through the crosswalk when a pedestrian is attempting to cross. My concern is that eventually a pedestrian who thinks they are safe while crossing will be struck by a driver not aware of the law. I think Bloomington PD could generate a lot of revenue from tickets in just one day by having someone monitoring that crosswalk. Putting in a new sign that says the law is to yield could also be a solution.

Excessive speed and noise along College Mall Road from motorcycles. They are racing up and down the street at a high rate of speed. While cars are an issue, the motorcyclists are more disturbing and prone for an accident.

I live on Southern drive, which is a side street off of Walnut. I have noticed people speeding on Walnut and it has become increasingly dangerous for other drivers who are following the speed laws. Is there any way that there could be more of a police presence who can run radar and could possibly reduce the speeding on this road? I think it would really help! Thank you!

my car has been hit twice while parked in front of my house on W 7th street. It’s been a hit and run both times. They just leave my mirror in pieces on the street. The issue is people speeding and not waiting their turn to go when there are two cars on the street. I’ve had to pay out of pocket to fix my mirror. Not to mention, when I’m trying to get my kiddos out of their car seats, cars just fly by at high speed. I’m just waiting for the day my entire door gets taken off.

Greetings. We need moving violation enforcement and an increase in people who can do traffic law enforcement. Can someone in BPD as well as OOTM please read this article and consider how the City of Bloomington may work to make their streets actually safe and civil... Please take note of the quote about their goal. I think Bloomington needs to make the goal of public safety a top and most important priority! This is what the city of New Orleans is doing to help their police department with their staff shortages. 'They will have duties such as monitoring phone and online reports, issuing traffic citations, surveying major events like Mardi Gras and the Essence Festival and even doing some investigative work. Civilians would additionally be dispatched to calls that may not require an officer, such as collecting preliminary evidence, securing loose pets and responding to forgery, certain medical episodes and some thefts, New Orleans Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said last Thursday. 'The goal of all of this is to make our officers feel safe so that they can make our citizens and visitors feel safe,' Ferguson said. 'This is also to reduce some of the workload currently placed on our patrol and district personnel. But more importantly this is designed to reduce response time and address the backlogs in which we have in some of our districts.'" Can we do *anything* to address all the speeding on High Street? It's out of control! Some of those speeders are coming from Renwick. We have proven this. We are NOT A RACETRACK. We have children using that new path.

Homeless people sleeping in the woods across from the residence townhomes. They're making residents feel unsafe and unable to sit on their porches. They're leaving tremendous amounts of trash and human waste in the entire area. Have contacted police multiple times to report the trespassing.

Cambridge Square Apartments bldg 303 unit 313.A person going by the name of DaeDae climbed my buildings balconies on 3 separate occasions. Stole my Ray Bans and on the third he saw the Prophet in me got scared and jumped. Now I called 911 and it led to the calls being dropped mysteriously. The safety check that was called in on my behalf was never performed by BPD.
