There has been an increase in police vehicles speeding in my neighborhood, particularly down Rogers Street and Sixth Street. The frequency has increased in the last two weeks and has been rather alarming, loud, and unsafe.

I wish to report this as a "noise violation" to Capt. Pedigo. I think he will understand this report. There is a very loud red Dodge pickup truck that parks along the northbound side of Lindbergh St. The loudness of the truck is a massive disturbance to myself and the neighborhood. Why? He comes and goes all day and into the night. Back and forth and back and forth. Around and around and around. That much travel in and out of our neighborhood doesn't make for a very peaceful life here. Not only does he come and go constantly, but he revs the engine which is loud just by itself, and often peals out. It's a red Dodge pickup truck, badly beat up with a mismatched right rear wheel. It's extremely loud and disturbs the peace. Could you check into it for us? Thank you.

The person who lives at this address produces unreasonable noise on a regular basis in their truck. Most definitely this is a diesel truck and yes, those are louder than other vehicles. However, this person has the need to accelerate intensely on Fairview from stop sign to stop sign and then loudly accelerate the short distance to their house. This happens most every single day and multiple times as this person regularly comes and goes with and without a trailer full of equipment. According to Bloomington's Municipal Code section 14.09.040, unreasonable noise shall mean sound that is of a volume, frequency, or pattern that prevents, disrupts, injures, or endangers the health, safety, welfare, prosperity, comfort or repose of reasonable persons of ordinary sensitivities within the city of Bloomington, given the time of day or environment in which the sound is made. Also included, and described in more detail in Section 14.09.030 of the Bloomington Municipal Code, is unreasonable noise from cars including specifics about mufflers and baffles. It is unknown as to if this is an OEM/stock exhaust system but it is disruptive on a regular basis even when inside a house with all the windows closed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. There's a housing authority camera that points at my front door. Sometime between 12:30 pm and 4:45 today domworipped open a Walmart bag that for delivered and stole a gallon jug of fabuloso.it doesn't seem like a big deal but I've lived here for over 3 years and I've never had anything stolen. I also have other items coming and they cost a lot more. I would like to have someone access those camera and fondnout who stole from me. Thank you for your assistance

Driver operates this vehicle while it is full to the brim with garbage. He is unable to see behind him effectively enough to avoid hitting things when he backs up. He hit a car at my house a second time because of his inability to see out of the windows in his vehicle. Please help!

In response to uReport case # 181637: "Greetings. We need moving violation enforcement and an increase in people who can do traffic law enforcement. Can someone in BPD as well as OOTM please read this article and consider how the City of Bloomington may work to make their streets actually safe and civil... Please take note of the quote about their goal. I think Bloomington needs to make the goal of public safety a top and most important priority! This is what the city of New Orleans is doing to help their police department with their staff shortages. 'They will have duties such as monitoring phone and online reports, issuing traffic citations, surveying major events like Mardi Gras and the Essence Festival and even doing some investigative work. Civilians would additionally be dispatched to calls that may not require an officer, such as collecting preliminary evidence, securing loose pets and responding to forgery, certain medical episodes and some thefts, New Orleans Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said last Thursday. 'The goal of all of this is to make our officers feel safe so that they can make our citizens and visitors feel safe,' Ferguson said. 'This is also to reduce some of the workload currently placed on our patrol and district personnel. But more importantly this is designed to reduce response time and address the backlogs in which we have in some of our districts.'" MY REPLY: Thank you very much for the information. I was aware that there were Community Service Specialists but since I have still been told repeatedly over the past three years that BPD does not have the staffing to do traffic detail or do much work outside of responding to 9/11 calls, then I respectfully suggest COB budgets for and approves several more CSSs. Also, admittedly I had a poor opinion to the CSS position due to a car collision at a bad intersection that was attended to by a CSS and not a sworn officer and was never included in the official stats for that intersection. When I requested a four way stop from P & T, they cited there had never been a collision there when that is blatantly false. Please consider checking the protocol on how collisions attended to by CSSs are handled for reporting purposes as well as increase the head count, please. There is a problem with public safety in this town that the current business as usual is not curbing. Thank you for your time.
