If you are going to close a street down, I would recommend cleaning the sidewalks off and locking trash cans so people will not di through them and throw trash on the ground.

From walnut and Patterson all the way to 2nd and walnut I counted 8 shopping carts filled with personal possessions from the homeless, along with varies debris and trash around these shopping carts! Something needs done by the city to discourage stealing shopping carts! Area referenced needs cleaned up and shopping carts returned to owners!
Could the city place a garbage can near the chocolate moose or require them to have one? People buy ice cream and go to the benches a bit north of there. There is no trash can nearby so people just leave their sticky trash on the bench or the ground. The melting ice cream attracts bugs. Thanks.

Hello. I am a Bloomington resident residing at 110 1/2 W 6th St. My apartment entrance is in an alleyway off of 6th between Walnut and College. While this alley has normal amounts of debris, there seem to be many unsafe wires dangling from the various poles and buildings. My main concern is with the alley behind my building. The entrance is off of Walnut between "Btown Diner" and "Samira" restaurants. There is an abundance of trash, grease, vomit, bugs, defecation, and cigarettes throughout the space that causes a repulsive smell and attracts many rodents. This is a very unsanitary environment that workers from the businesses(restaurants especially) on 6th Street take their breaks in. I am not sure the best course of action but I would suggest having the businesses clean their trash bins in addition to having the city power wash the grease and other various fluids off the pavement. Couple dump truck loads of trash and debris keeps getting bigger every day. Local ordinance calls for fine or tax lean.
I want to report unprofessional service from sanitation. I put my trash out late today (as in between 5:00 am and whatever time the time truck came down my street, which was sometime after 7:45). I come home to my bin emptied and thrown into the middle of the road. When I go to get it there's a sticker attached to top saying someone looked at 5:00 am and it wasn't out at that time so they weren't going to pick it up. This is unprofessional and uncalled for. If you don't want to pick up my trash, just don't do it. I put it out late, I can handle that. I think it's a silly policy, but it's the policy, I can live with it. Don't try to make a point or 'teach me a lesson' by leaving a nasty-gram and chucking my bin into the road. This feels like threatening behavior and has really bothered me.
