There are two pot holes on south High Street in front of Childs Elementary Pre-K building (the first bldg south of the school.) The pot holes were repaired last year about this time but have reemerged and are a problem for drivers but also pose a threat to the children who walk to and from school. About 5:10 pm today (5 March) I stopped at the signal at Moore's Pike and College Mall Rd. I was waiting to make a westbound thru movement toward Hillside Ave. After two cycles wherein every other movement (including WB to SB) got a green, I still had not gotten the green light for a WB thru. Traffic had backed up the hill, out of sight, so I made a right turn when safe to do so, and took an alternate route home.
Resident submitted a complaint on Facebook. Stated the center lines painted on the street are way off and make it harder for traffic. See photo.
Large pothole/road damage no
Located off of 1212 West Rappel Avenue. A Monroe county highway truck stopped by and stated that this was a section that the City of Bloomington would need to take care of. The Pot holes are getting much bigger and starting to cause damage to tires and cars.
