Hello, there is a massive issue with drivers running red lights and stop signs in this city. I have marked a particularly bad intersection (Madison and 11th), however this issue is city-wide. The included intersection has a wall on the bridge that prevents vehicles from seeing around the corner to 11th street, which often means that people just roll right through the stop sign. I've been almost T-boned at this intersection multiple times, and I genuinely fear I may die there some day. I have already been hit once by someone ignoring traffic laws on Third Street, and have almost been hit on foot and in my vehicle countless times downtown. It has gotten to the point where I am afraid to travel around the city. There should be traffic cameras on the stop lights, and more aggressive fines to deter these people casually ignoring safety and traffic laws. I understand that it is hard to enforce stop signs, however I have witnessed (on multiple occasions) police patrol vehicles allowing people to run right through 4-way stops, and some even do it themselves. People are learning that there are absolutely no consequences for driving recklessly around the city, and it has gotten noticeably worse. Please, consider taking action about the extremely unsafe traffic situation in our city.

There is a giant machine outside out my apartment for construction work. It is the week before finals and it starts making one of the loudest noises I have ever heard at 7 am. It’s ridiculous and don’t see why they can’t start at 9.

Overgrowth of foliage and brush from the property at 701 N Woodlawn Ave extends into the sidewalk and poses a hazard to pedestrians and passerby. Google Maps lists the property as bearing the addresses 701, 703 & 705; or 829 E Cottage Grove Ave.

Several months ago a vehicle drove into and knocked down a light pole on the opposite corner. Due to that, there have been metal cables coiled up on the corner of 11th and Fairview. Now they have fallen into the right of way of the sidewalk. This is dangerous and I respectfully ask that it be fixed. Thank you.

Greetings. Could someone please cut back the vegetation at the southwest corner of where 11th st. intercepts Fairview. It has blocked visibility from both directions and is causing a safety issue. There is also signage that is being hidden. Thank you kindly! Addendom: I am a pedestrian not a motorist. It has become unsafe for pedestrians at an intersection that is already dangerous due to motorists speeding from three directions. Thank you.

In connection with uReport Case #178466, I now request that the intersection of Fairview and 13th Street be converted into a four way stop. If BPD is unable to enforce traffic laws due to staffing issues while there is an identifiable problem that causes citizens to fear for the safety of their body as well as their personal property, then there needs to be more constraints on the ability for people to get up to high speed on a residential street. We are wondering if the E/W stretch of concrete between 707 N. Lincoln and 711 N. Lincoln is an alley (public thoroughfare) or a driveway (private property). If the former, the resident/tenant at 707 has blocked passage through it with stones and a basketball court. We have assumed for a long time that this is actually an alley and would like to be able to walk down this stretch, but if it is indeed private property we would like that made clear so that we not trespass.
