The vegetation along Smith Ave from Euclid to Walker is out of control AGAIN. It overgrows into both sides of Smith so cars get scratched. If you want to turn onto Smith from Buckner you CANNOT see East on Smith to know if a car is coming West on Smith. Going East and West on Smith, the same problem occurs both directions on Davisson. This is a chronic problem every year. I believe Smith is platted as 16 feet wide, but there is definitely not that much clearance. I also believe there is city law that says vegetation should be cut back 3 feet from the street edges. If owners would cut their vegetation back one foot from the paved edge of Smith it would be a lot better. I'd appreciate contact from you after you look into this. Thank You!! The grate cover of a drain in a parking lot here had fallen into the drain. The drain is located inside an HOA called Madison Park. We got the cover out and reinstalled it, but it is bent and needs to be replaced. Would this be a City responsibility or the responsibility of the HOA? Thank you for your help!

Hello, I work for a local property manager, Mackie Properties. Our company manages a homeowners association called Madison Park located north of W Howe St, in between S Madison St and S Morton St. I was recently informed that the plants along a section of the B-line just east of Madison Park are becoming overgrown and would benefit from being trimmed. I've included photos of the relevant area, as well as a map of the area outlining the overgrown section with a red rectangle. A portion of W. Smith Ave needs badly repaired. The road is basically falling apart with a large pothole. My address is 1002 W. Howe St., and the road problem is behind my house which abuts Smith Ave.

Sidewalk blocked by overgrowth. When stopped on Smith line of site blocked. There is also an overgrown fire hydrant, possibly to the same address.

I found 3 syringes in my back yard on Saturday morning. I did notify police dispatch, but wanted to also inform the city. We also had someone walk by the side of our house yesterday evening and got very alarmed when they saw us. Said they were cutting through to catch a ride. We live on a corner and there is no way it would have saved time. I am concerned safety wise, especially for my wife. I feel less sage then I did when I moved back to Bloomington 8 years ago.
