The water usage is exceedingly high and we are not sure why. The amount that is recorded as being used seems like way more than we could use, and we suspect there may be an issue with the water meter or a potential leak somewhere that is causing an issue with the reading.
Hello, I am writing to inquire about whether the sidewalk on the east side of S. Jackson St. between 3rd and 4th streets can be repaired. As a person with a visual impairment, I have a terrible time walking on the sidewalk in this location, which is in the block where my house is. The sidewalk is very uneven, with tripping hazards throughout its course due to decay. If I didn't have a visual impairment, it would certainly be easier to walk on this part of the sidewalk, but I know that others with no visual impairment also have a difficult time because of the deteriorated surface. Traffic using the stretch of South Park Ridge Rd between Morningside Drive and E 46 is consistently traveling at a very high rate of speed. This has always been an issue and now compounded with additional traffic utilizing this pass due to the temporary closure of E46 and Smith Rd. Attempting to back out of my driveway safely has become a real problem as there is a slight curve north of my driveway which creates a bit of a blind spot. Wondering if there can be some sort of traffic calming structures, caution lights or something that will help deter the speed of the traffic through this stretch. Thank you.
This light has been out for several weeks and makes it unsafe to walk in this area when it is dark outside. Light is located near the bus lane closest to the Transit Center.
People who are unhoused are leaving their belongings / lots of trash in the alley of our office building. Customers/clients/pedestrians use this alley often.
Someone has cut a hole in the railroad fence in this approximate location on the Grimshaw Trail. The picture shows the hole and the insert is the nearest utility pole to the east of the damage.
My neighborhood (Near West Side) has been experiencing a very intense burning trash smell most nights for the past two months. This has been an ongoing issue for the past two years that I’ve lived here, but it has intensified. It causes me headaches and forces me to keep my windows closed and waste energy running my air conditioning. It’s not possible to walk around outside; this only happens at night. There are no neighbors or homeless people burning trash (I have walked around and looked, including on nearby train tracks). I have smelled this same smell coming from JB Salvage. Please help us! This is definitely causing long term health effects for this whole neighborhood.

Refer to cases #186916, #188213, and #188214. Someone ended up putting a rubber stopper in the hole at the base of the dumpster, which temporarily prevented the rats from entering it. However, rubber is a delicacy for rats (which it seems garbage-oriented people should well know) and it was soon devoured. Now the problem is back full-force, with rats running in and out of the dumpster and scurrying around the parking lot. The drain-hole is threaded on the inside, implying that the manufacturer of the dumpster had in mind (and likely supplies) a metal screw-type insert that will be rat-proof. Please ask the company to install the correct type of fitting so that this problem is permanently fixed.
