The issue with this ongoing construction site continues. The workers on-site drove over the silt fence that was supposed to stop concrete run off and they have made no attempts to fix it. Every single time it rains, there is a build up of run off on the sidewalk that prevents water from draining properly and is contaminating the water systems with who knows what. The property has not ever disposed of it properly either (they literally just shovel it onto a tree stump instead of renting a proper disposal receptacle).

Can the City not require the Indiana Railroad to install some type of flashing light, larger warning sign or something to help prevent this from happening? There has been an increasing amount of trucks hitting this bridge, at least 6 in the past year that I'm aware of.

I am writing to report a broken tree limb that poses a safety concern. It appears that the limb was damaged during the storm we experienced at the end of March 2023. The tree in question is located on city land outside of my property boundary at 1301 W. 8th Street in Bloomington. The broken limb is specifically situated at the intersection of Adams Street and 8th Street, where there is a significant amount of pedestrian traffic. The footpath visible in the attached picture is frequently used by pedestrians crossing from the sidewalk on Adams Street onto 8th Street. The presence of the broken tree limb in this area creates a potential safety hazard for pedestrians. Additionally, there is a slight concern that the broken limb obstructs the view of the Adams Street bridge for drivers turning right onto Adams Street from Fountain. This obstruction may affect the visibility of oncoming traffic, potentially leading to traffic incidents or delays. I kindly request that the relevant department of Bloomington takes immediate action to address this issue. It is crucial to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists in the area by removing the broken tree limb and conducting any necessary tree maintenance or inspection. Arrived at bus stop on Allendale at appointed time. Bus should be there by 2:34 pm. Waited until 2:40 and then searched `Spot'. According to Spot, the bus was at the maintenance facility. Then I checked website. Website was down. Then I called BT and asked for representative. The call was dropped without being answered. Will be contacting my city council rep about this one...

I would like to suggest new street lights. There is a school cross walk at Templeton School on Henderson Street between Hillside and Grimes. There are families that use this cross walk in the morning prior to sunrise. A street light there would be very helpful. I also believe street lights at all school bus stops would be beneficial to students waiting for the bus in the dark. Thank you.
