The stop sign on Kirkwood for westbound traffic is set back pretty far from Kirkwood. When food trucks park on the north side of Kirkwood, the westbound traffic can’t see the stop sign. I have seen cars run the stop sign several times. There is a small planter right on the corner, where a stop sign would be visible, or even attached to the sign with the street name placards. Perhaps also adding a stop sign on the south side of Kirkwood would help.
At the intersection of East Kirkwood and Walnut streets, directly in front of the BookCorner store, there is a pothole approximately 2ftx1ft that is deep and getting deeper, and nearly unavoidable during turns Northward on Walnut from Kirkwood. Thank you for your response. George Bull
The sidewalk imprints about walking your scooters across the street are degrading, and are slippery. I was walking on Kirkwood, and the one on the corner in front of the Cafe Pizzeria (that corner) is where I slipped and hurt my right knee. I walk frequently there as I am a student at IU, and it's only slippery on top of the remneants of that imprint. Someone is going to get hurt or die even if they crack their skull!
As you head east on Marilyn Drive and come to the intersection with High Street, when you look left you can't see traffic on High. You can't see if a vehicle is stopped at the stop sign on High for southbound traffic. The overgrowth is in the north west corner of the intersection. Can this get cut or the property owner told to trim for the view of traffic for safety reasons? Thanks.
Lower fir tree branches on the inside of the turn obscure traffic approaching the curve. The lower branches should be removed.
Maxwell betw approximately S. Highland and S. Sheridan included a very steep hill. When driving in either direction, the steepness of this hill creates poor visibility, and so very limited opportunity to avoid oncoming traffic. Please consider a center line for this area.
