Does the City of Bloomington/Parks and Rec have a lifeguard:patron ratio that they implement? As of 1:30 pm, there are about 30 people in the main pool (not including the deep end) and only one lifeguard on duty. This lifeguard was seated in an oversight chair on the south side of the pool. When I asked the four off-duty lifeguards about the ratio, one told me that only a single lifeguard was sufficient for the whole pool for the number of patrons. He also indicated that they did not need to close off the west end of the pool to reduce the scan area for the lone lifeguard. However, after that, he did ask the seated lifeguard to go down to ground level to scan the pool.

Instead, both lifeguards are seated together, chatting on the staff bench. There are easily 60+ people at the Bryan Park Pool now and plenty of small children. I noticed that there is another concert this Sunday in Bryan Park. My family loves attending the concerts and movies since we live near by. I have noticed that the grass has was really long at the last concert and seems like has not been cut as regularly. Is there any chance it could be cut before these events?

This tree is leaning dangerously toward the street. There is often a line of cars waiting to turn onto Hillside, and it would likely crush one of them.

The wooden boardwalk is rotting in one place. The board is soft and flexs under weight. Someone could trip over it.

The raised traction on the boardwalks in Bryan park is too tall and poses a trip hazard. In addition, there is a small section near the east end of the boardwalk by the adult fitness equipment that is warped so that it is sticking up more than the rest. It's subtle, but it's problematic. Several people who saw me trip on it today said they had struggled on the same spot earlier today or earlier in the week.

There is an active wasp nest in basketball hoop closest to the the playground and the creek. The nest is underneath the guard connecting the hoop to the backboard.
