Unsafe Buildings
2628 E Spicewood CT
- Case Date:
- 3/12/2024
I work for affordable fence ad last winter there was a deck being built at 2622 e spice wood crt. I noticed that the support beams were being set up using 4x4 posts. I told them at the time that I believed that 4x6 posts were as small as code allowed. The contractor scoffed at me and i just said "ok" and went back to work. Yesterday while doing an inspection on the fence I installed I saw that two elderly people live at the home and we're out on their deck. The deck (with them on the deck) was very rickety and moved way too much to be safe. I hate to see anyone getting one over on e elderly simply because they can. Their safety is a major issue and I can no longer be silent about the issue. Hopefully you can look into it promptly thank you!

Debris Removal (Sand, General Street Debris)
2998 S Sare RD
- Case Date:
- 8/20/2021
Rental house (too many renters) across the street from us facing Sare Road (right by Spicewood II sign) has a large sectional that has been sitting in driveway for a month. This is a nice neighborhood not accustomed to seeing debris sitting in driveways. There is also a large box truck that is continually parked on the grass. This is what happens when rentals are not inspected….the decks are falling off & the gutters are drooping…totally unacceptable. Thank you for checking on this situation. Please get back to me. Growth is much higher than the 8 inch limit for a neighborhood yard. With the amount of rain we’ve had this summer, I’m concerned that this overgrowth could eventually become a health hazard.

City has closed multiple cases reported concerning Gul property without enforcing code. Expect a lawsuit.
