Property is on SE corner of N Bryan and 7th St. The traffic calming bump out on the 7th street side is overgrown with Johnson grass and has been for months. A look at google street view shows it was overgrown in July of last year, showing this is a chronic issue at this location.
homeless encampments are spreading throughout this area on 501 N Walnut St around peoples houses. Had filed a uReport with the number 192180 and nothing got resolved.
On the ridge overlooking the northernmost part of the B-Line - close to where the B-Line intersects with Adams St. there is a growing camp. The picture here was taken on 4/1/2024. There is trash flowing downhill from the camp on the ridge. Some of the trash includes at least 3 propane tanks. The camp is less than 0.25 miles from homes and a park. It is a bit scary to think that the campers might be using the propane inside their tents. What can be done to help these folks stay warm and dry without the risk of blowing up a neighborhood?
I am an employee of Teach and Play ABA owned by Sara Shrivastav and I am aware that she has been told that she needs to put sprinklers and fire alarms in the facility for our safety and the children’s safety, but she has still not done that and as far as I know she has no plans to and is not taking it seriously. We have already had a fire in the building and there was 0 plan in place and was not done up to standard which makes me very concerned for the safety of myself and the children we serve. If you’re able to come as soon as possible I would appreciate that. I am choosing to submit anonymously because I don’t want to risk losing my job for reporting, but it is a safety issue that I believe needs to be addressed immediately. Hello, I work at Teach and Play ABA and it’s owned by Sara Shrivastav. She sent us an email in regards to the fire safety issues that she was made aware of and she hasn’t any intentions of making changes as of right now. I’m concerned because we’ve already had a fire in the facility and it was very poorly handled. I’m worried for the safety of myself, coworkers and children at the facility. She wrote us an email saying we are not allowed to let you in the building and it’s just very concerning to me. She has already opened two more facilities and they also don’t have sprinklers or fire alarms and I ultimately just want to make sure we’re in a safe environment. I’m also not sure if it’s structurally sound. She did a lot of the remodeling by herself so if there’s anyway someone could check that and make sure things are up to standard because she had mercury lightbulbs which caused the first fire, I would really appreciate that. I cannot park in the alley because my neighbor, David Arthur, told me I'm not allowed to park next to my house in the lot. I have a disability and a handicapped parking pass. I am deaf, and I need access to parking at home. David's black truck is out of order and parked in the backyard. He has four vehicles, and I cannot park next to him. I was told the city owns the alley. I need to know what I need to do to be able to park in the alley.
