Hello, an illegal addition was built on side of garage of the house. without proper permits the electrical box is unsafe and outside expose to elements ,unsafe buildings roofs are pitched incorrectly and are unsafe , there is multiple people and kids living in unsafe conditions who currently rent on multiple buildings and garage addition as far as we know no permits for multiple rentals have been approved.
We were charged over $300 under sanitation for "Large Item Pick up", however, were not responsible for any items that were allegedly picked up. I have tried to get in contact with the sanitation department for the past month with no avail. I would like to get this issue resolved so I am not responsible for the charges or the late fees that could potentially accrue. Hello. I am a Bloomington resident residing at 110 1/2 W 6th St. My apartment entrance is in an alleyway off of 6th between Walnut and College. While this alley has normal amounts of debris, there seem to be many unsafe wires dangling from the various poles and buildings. My main concern is with the alley behind my building. The entrance is off of Walnut between "Btown Diner" and "Samira" restaurants. There is an abundance of trash, grease, vomit, bugs, defecation, and cigarettes throughout the space that causes a repulsive smell and attracts many rodents. This is a very unsanitary environment that workers from the businesses(restaurants especially) on 6th Street take their breaks in. I am not sure the best course of action but I would suggest having the businesses clean their trash bins in addition to having the city power wash the grease and other various fluids off the pavement. New BRU burger building has multiple downspouts that drain directly onto the Grant Street sidewalk. I don't believe this is allowed with new construction?
People who are unhoused are leaving their belongings / lots of trash in the alley of our office building. Customers/clients/pedestrians use this alley often.
Broken glass, needles, and other trash at the SE corner of B Line and 4th st. Especially on the concrete pad where the 4th St fire station used to be.
Requesting resurfacing of road and sidewalk. Sidewalk comes partially on Roosevelt up till the house next to fire station and should be extended. Resurfacing is way overdue with countless potholes patched and re-patched over the years. We pay too much in taxes. Please help.
I was walking past the Crew Carwash while cars were being pre-treated on the front of the cars with bug and tar remover. The wind was blowing the mist from the chemical used for this, straight at me. Some bug and tar pre-treatments at car washes can contain acids and refined petroleum chemicals. Although many contain citris, they usually can also cary chemicals that can cause reprirory and skin issues. I noticed that there is no protective wall that was installed to protect pedestrians and I belive that such a wall is common practice with businesses that do not wish to expose pedestrians to their car wash chemicals. Even if it were merely a strong car wash soap spray, this too can be a health risk to pedestrians who inhale this as they walk past a car wash.
The culvert by the driveway has corroded and there are sharp edges where someone might be walking. Is this a city maintenance issue?
Hello-There are regularly cars blocking the bike lane on Washington between 4th and 3rd St's a bit after 6pm.I wonder if there's a way for the city to make it clear to ride share drivers and customers of DaVinci that this is illegal and that they cannot block the bike lane. When there are 3-4 cars parked in the bike lane here, it really is no longer a bike lane and instead is a pick up/drop off zone. "Sending people to patrol the area" is definitely not working. Thanks!
