Please install any sort of restroom at Sherwood Oaks Park. Our kids pee in the woods, we see other people going into the woods to pee all the time. I don't understand why there can't at least be a port a potty. I have made this same ureport before, maybe annually. It is a beautiful park that we visit frequently but to not have some sort of restroom is just ridiculous. I hear about Bloomington Parks and Rec being one of the top in the nation, how can that be true - when you have to pee in the woods it feels like a 3rd world country. The skate park at upper cascades has a nice port a potty, why is that an option there but not at this beautiful park where families spend time?

If you go to the parking lot and walk down the trail through the woods, where the trail curves above the creek, someone has put a city trash can on the bank and set it on fire.

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, during the farmers market this morning, I observed at least 3 different kids on electric motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed along the B-Line Trail through Switchyard Park. The motorcycles are not e-bikes as they appear to have no crank arms for pedals and the kids are not pedaling. They are racing through the park on the trails with complete disregard for the safety of others. There was also a kid on a gasoline powered motorcycle riding on the B-Line Trail. Can the city police enforce the illegal riding of motorcycles, electric or otherwise, on the trails in town? The use of electric motorcycles on the trails should not be permitted.

My husband and I have been walking Bloomington trails for a decade. This past year we have discovered the last 2 segments out on Dillman Rd. It’s a lovely part of the trail covered by trees for more shade and cooler in the heat of summer. During this time we also noticed the consistent upkeep of this segment. Following the friendly custom of speaking to other walkers, we realized a consensus existed on the excellent work & commitment of Mr. Troy Carter, who cares for that particular section of trail. He is always working, always doing what needs to be done. My husband Howard, often commented that during his decades of working at Crane NSWC, he always looked for people who had this work ethic, always doing their job even when not supervised. He also is always kind and courteous to the trail users, answering questions, giving directions & just being courteous to everyone who walks by. For example if he’s blowing leaves, cutting grass, etc he will pause pulling the trigger in the few moments it takes a walker to pass him by. A small gesture possibly but a boon to those of us that use our walks for conversation or solely for the tranquility of nature and is simply a kind human gesture. We trail walkers appreciate all that he does and simply wanted to say Thank You.

Hi, for many months now, there has been some kind of leak or drainage issue in the large dog area of the Switchyard dog park. I know parks is aware of it, as the two areas of concern have temporary fencing around them, but it is very flimsy and does not keep dogs out. I don't care about my dog getting muddy, but she contracted giardia and required vet care and medication from drinking out of the puddles, which have now been standing for so long, they are green. I understand this may not be an easy fix, but please try? Thank you.

There is a rock with a plaque for Conrad Muller and it's had something poured on it that defaced it. It's hard to read, yet it's beautiful.
