Recycle trash can blocking on sidewalk
I live at 429 S Henderson and one of our trash cans was taken this morning.
The yard of this home contains trash. There is an abandoned car that has been parked in the same spot for over a year. The windshield is shattered. There are also empty gasoline containers in the yard as well as boxes and childrens toys. The house is overgrown with vines and weeds. The bushes in the front of the yard block the view when pulling out from Southway Dr on to Church ln.
Does the City not recycle newspaper any more? Most of my recycling materials were picked up early this morning, but I was puzzled to find that the newspapers were left in the bottom of the bin. I finally went out about 1pm and brought them back inside. Should I not put my newspapers out anymore?
This morning when I went out to gather up my carts I noticed that the bar that goes across the middle of the front of my small trash cart was only in one hole. The bar fell completely off completely as I pulled the cart up the driveway. I assume that bar is essential for emptying the cart. Do you have any advice about how I can get the bar to fit back in both holes? At the moment it’s in one hole and angled up at about a 30 degree angle, which doesn’t seem very useful. Just out of curiosity, what is the expected life-span of the carts? They are already starting to look beat up. My recycling cart has a piece missing on the corner of the lid. The Avenue throws their recycling into the trash can. However they label it as recycling! This isn’t good for the environment or the general public
Our recycling bin is missing one of its wheels. It went missing after a pickup and has been very inconvenient to use since.
