(Not really "street repair" but I couldn't find the right category): The eastbound Stop sign on Maxwell @ Highland, in Elm Heights, is OFTEN ignored. I have seen cars race right through it without even the pretense of slowing down. On foot, I have jumped out behind the car as it sped on, waving my hands and shouting "STOP SIGN!!", and once a driver waved an acknowledgment. Another time, driving north on Highland, I turned and followed the offender, honking and blinking my lights hoping s/he would notice that someone had noticed and be alert next time. The Stop sign is quite visible, not obscured by overhanging trees, so I am stumped. But I wonder if it could be moved closer to the road, enlarged, painted (the post too) a more neon/catchy red, and/or moved to the CENTER of the intersection (tricky for the snowplows, I know), and/or a "Stop-sign alert" sign added well before, or maybe it could be removed altogether with appropriate alerts posted for the north/south drivers, which might be safer than assuming people will stop. This is a potentially lethal situation for drivers, bikers, and walkers in a very pedestrian-heavy neighborhood. Thanks.

For the last couple of weeks there has been an orange traffic barrel with a "Sidewalk Closed" sign on it sitting in the back yard of a student rental house next to our office. I assume it is a city barrel. Our office is at 914 E. Atwater, the first building east of the Subway. The house the barrel is behind is the next house east of us (blue siding, white trim). The easiest way to get to it is through the alley: go up Atwater past the Subway and turn right into the alley just past the grass lot. Turn left into the alley that runs parallel with Atwater. The barrel is in the grass between the parking lot behind our building and the parking area behind the rental house.

I have complained about this light for literally years. The light switches and stops Bloomfield road traffic when there is no cross traffic. It is not a result of Catalent traffic from the Sportsplex. When the light does switch it allows west bound traffic but also activates the left turn signal light with no one in the lane. This holds up the east bound traffic for the length of the light. In the morning the traffic was backed up so far west I couldn’t see the end of it. Last night(10/6) the traffic was backed up to Landmark (4 tens of a mile) while the light went through it’s broken cycle during rush hour. The last time I complained it took a month for the repair to happen and it lasted one week. Last year when I spoke to the technician who was working on it he said the sensors were broken. Why does a supposed green administration allow all of those cars to sit and idle and pollute while frustrating all of those commuters. Is it just city incompetence or a deliberate attempt to punish or influence west side residents on the matter of annexation. I’m going to copy this and post it on every city platform I can find every day until this is fixed. I’m going to put up realtor type signs to garner commuter support against this problem. Please fix it permanently

The street light on the corner of Berkshire and Sherbrooke Drive has blown over. Post has snapped off at base and light is totally smashed!

Post repaving work has not been completed. Westbound turn lane markings never completed. Low quality center lane markings have washed or worn away in 2 - 3 weeks, so west bound vehicles that should be turning south on Henderson, do not realize they are in a left turn lane ( no painted arrows) and attempt to continue west on Hillside, then cannot see any center lane markings, and nearly crash into cars on Hillside waiting to turn north on Henderson in that left turn lane. Can't believe BPD patrol officers or someone who works at 1981 S. Henderson has not noticed?

We moved into a new house in Hidden Meadow in May of this year, and after 6 months we still do not have a street sign. Our address is 5274 N Filbert Drive, Bloomington, 47404, our street name is N Filbert Dr. This is a safety and liability concern, if emergency vehicles – fire, ambulance, or police had to find one of the houses on our street, they would be unable to, especially since our street still doesn’t show up on Google maps. The thought of something bad happening to a member my family or to me and knowing that help might not find us is very unsettling. We’ve waited for 6 months and still no sign. I'm not sure who to contact, and whether it is the city, the planning department, or the developer who is responsible for street signs, but I'm hoping you can help me figure out who I can contact - if it isn't your office. Traffic light timing is messed up causing delays on Rockport. It was fixed for a while but seems to be messed up again post the July 4th power outages.
