Our street has not been plowed. I'm concerned about tomorrow's snow being piled on Friday's snow. Thanks.
Pothole on the street
Someone must have hit and run the street sign at the intersection of Queens Way and Sussex. The street signs above the stop sign are hanging loosely and the upright post has a slight lean. It would be nice to at least have the street signs re-mounted. Thank You!
Small pile of branches/limbs to be collected. Thank you!
On Thursday afternoon, the storm brought down half of our huge sugar maple tree. It fell across the road closing Rockport Rd completely. Neighbors and my husband, Steve Cook, cut and cleared the road. Your road crew came by and put cones on either end of the sidewalk and said they would be back the next day to clear the sidewalk, but they did not come – no blame at all as we are sure they were plenty busy. We wanted to make sure there was a record of this work still needing to be done. Feel free to call and leave a message. An arborist will be coming to ascertain the rest of the tree and the removal of the giant from our yard, although with thunderstorms all Saturday, I don't expect it will be today. Thank you.
We hired Douglas Fowler to come clear out our huge fallen tree and his crew cleaned up the side walk as well. So the city crew just needs to come and get their two orange cones. :)
Several large branches fell in the storm, as well as many smaller branches – both from our maple trees and our neighbor's oak tree. In addition, these branches fell on bushes or smaller trees so these had to be cut. Our pile is made up of large to smaller branches and the trash cans are filled with the smallest twigs and leaves. We are going to set out the yard waste in cans for regular pick up and refill them for you to pick up. Many thanks for this service, Steve and Dana Cook
