Hi, I'd like to report a sewer problem. There is a steady stream of water flowing out of a manhole. It leaks across the sidewalk and then onto Rogers where it flows into the storm sewer drain. It's on the northeast corner at the intersection of South Rogers and Coolidge. I just wanted to alert the utilities department about the issue. Thanks.
Last week I had city utility workers digging holes in my yard looking for what they think might be a water main leak. I think there might be an underground stream. They patched my yard and laid straw, I now have after this weeks storm several large holes in my yard, some large enough to lose a medium size dog in. HELP!!! I am submitting this Ureport on behalf of Upland Brewing. Pete Batule of Upland Brewing contacted me on 10-5-18 to say that Upland has been experiencing significant issues with odor coming from the storm drains on the north side of 11th street directly in front of Upland's patio. The odor is having a negative impact on their patio dining customers. Here is background on the issue as provided by Mr. Batule: Upland has had ongoing issues over the last few years with odors near the patio. They installed a piece of equipment above their lift station (the Peacemaker) next to the patio to neutralize the smell coming from the lift station. It wasn’t until the Peacemaker was installed that they suspected most of the odor was coming from the storm drains. Phil Peden has done some investigation on the storm drains. He noted there is an illicit connection tying to the north side of the storm box. Phil doesn't believe it is tied to a toilet because there isn't paper in it, but perhaps is related to byproduct or a wash drain/sink coming from elsewhere. Upland has dye tested their facility and found no evidence that the connection on the north side of the storm box is connected to their facilities. The odor comes on very strong at times to the point where they have to relocate customers. They notice an increase in odor around times when it rains and storm drain activity increases. James Hall and I discussed this issue on 10/8/18 and James has started to follow up internally at CBU on next steps. Kelly
Greetings- Please direct this to Angie Grubb-Flick's attention. On Indiana Ave just north of Kirkwood in the east side lane there appear to be two missing water valve lids. We are having a road foot race (city permit obtained) on Saturday morning Oct 27, 2018 and need these lids replaced or filled for safety.
The storm drain on the south east corner of 3rd and Faculty is completely blocked by debris.
Intersection of E. Canada Drive & Claybridge Drive: Storm grate & drainage structure deteriorating. Hole has opened up in the pavement on the north side of the grate & grate is sinking into the pavement. See attached photo.
A storm sewer lid has slid off the pipe that it was covering, leaving it open far enough that a dog or child could fall in. It is located adjacent to the bike path along the east side of Sare Road where the path drops down close to Jackson Creek.
I don't know if this is a city or county problem but the road around the storm drain on the SE corner of the Adams/Tapp roundabout (eastbound)needs repair. The road around the metal drain has crumbled and washed away leaving a large gap and an exposed sharp edge on the metal grate. I blew out a tire on this Monday.
At the intersection of Moody Dr and Henderson St, there's a metal stormwater drainage grate that has slipped down on one side. It's very rough to drive over.
Sidewalk between 3506 and 3508 is broken due to heavy city trucks using easement.
