517 West Wylie Street. This property has accrued a considerable amount of debris and excessive overgrowth to the extreme. Today, 30March2021, there was a brush fire on the property that endangered the neighborhood. The fire was so large that the hospital issued a alert to the staff stating that the fire was "....affecting the facility's HVAC units and depositing a smoky odor in the hospital building.....". When is someone going to do something about this mess? This property has been a disgrace to the McDoel Gardens Historic Neighborhood for a long time. It’s atmosphere is objectionable. Please help.

The residents moved out a week ago and left a pile of furniture parts and trash in the yard and up against the house. Kept thinking they may return, but I have seen no one.

By the warehouse along the Bline: The lack of adequate facilities for the homeless population in Bloomington, combined with all the overgrown vegetation, and potentially the use of the warehouse as a shelter, has resulted in ~ 10 cars being slept in overnight. That part is fine. However, there are no facilities for people to use the restroom, which results in the vegetation (behind the warehouse) and along the Bline being used as a latrine. Can Bloomington please pay attention to the homeless issue and take it seriously? Covid is not going away there must be facilities for people to use the restroom and throw away their rubbish. Currently, it's thrown all over the street on Hillside. Portland built tiny home communities to help with the homeless population, others offer hotel rooms, still other cities provide YMCA-type facilities. Bloomington continues to take this problem seriously and help this critical component of our community! With regard to restrooms in particular, given our current pandemic, safe and sanitary options for human waste are essential. We still do not know whether coronavirus can spread through human feces. Given that we live on karst topology, it is crucial that people aren't pooping outside (never mind walking through it and the horrid smell).

Hello!
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate way to address this but I have an issue with construction debris.
I live on South Madison Street between Grimes/Patterson and Hillside. The warehouse that runs the length of the street (between us & Switchyard Park) appears to be doing some sort of construction or remodeling. The top half of the outside wall was partially removed by them and more came down during the storms a couple of weeks ago. This siding and other items have been left at the end of our lots. In addition, we now have graffiti to look at which is a first in the over twenty years that I've lived in this house.
Not only is it an eyesore but I can't take a lawnmower into that area.
It's been weeks now & the owners aren't doing anything about it. I would greatly appreciate it if something can be done to get this mess cleaned up and to ensure that they clean up after themselves in the future.
Thank you very much!
