Sidewalk ends at creek, forcing pedestrians to cross busy road with no crosswalk or walk on the road. With Switchyard Park, pedestrian traffic is now much higher. Sidewalk needs to be continuous here.
Hello, I am the facilities manager of Trinity Episcopal Church (111 s Grant Street). A while back our gas meter was moved by (then Vectren) in conjunction with the Culvert work that is ongoing by Milestone. They moved the meter from the back of our building where it was safe - to the corner where it is in a precarious position. In doing so they have compromised the sidewalk, causing the corner to crack and one of the metal plates to raise up forming a lip - which has been reported to me as being a tripping hazard. I've asked numerous times to have the area addressed (specifically the meter itself) and have been ignored by (now) Centerpoint. The sidewalk deterioration is just the latest part of the failure to sensibly relocate that meter in a safe manner. Does the Street department address this? And who can I talk to about the meter itself? It is exposed to Traffic traveling through the alley and will be damaged at some point by a large truck. We recently had a tree removed from the spot shown, as well as having a tree trimmed on the other side of our driveway. The tree that was removed was rotted out as it was deemed unsafe. We moved to this location in 2019 with a new baby on the way. Fast forward 2 years and just after the tree was removed by the City of Bloomington, our now 2 y/o plays in front of our house and has now fallen multiple times because of the drop off on the sidewalk due to the tree roots that have lifted the sidewalk. Additionally, small animals have now made this area their home. This is the same problem on the opposite side of our driveway by the electrical boxes due to overgrown root systems of trees that were frankly too large to plant in there specific spots.The lift in the sidewalk from the tree roots has caused a major trip/fall hazards that are at least a 6in drop. Please advise.
The sidewalk in front of this complex (Townhouses on 10th) does not have ramps, just curbs, to cross the driveway to the complex. There is also a sunken area east of the complex entrance that is completely buried in dirt now (I'm not sure if it is on their property or on Woodbridge's, it is between). This makes it very difficult to walk through this area with a stroller and also makes it inaccessible to anyone unable to step down or up on a curb (and when it rains, the dirt-covered area turns into mud and gets pretty slick). There are some other areas that have shifted so the sidewalk is no longer even as well.
Accessibility Issue: Crumbling Sidewalk. This intersection has no curb cut which forces wheelchair users to go out into the street, which is a traffic hazard and dangerous. Please fix.
A sidewalk obstruction exists along W Parish Rd from N Maxine Rd leading to Arlington Elementary School due to overgrowth of vegetation.

West sidewalk on rogers st just north of 10th st / B-line heights (pedcore project). They're using this vacant lot as a staging area for the trades district garage. They often park overhanging the sidewalk. This trailer hitch is a daily problem. The transportation plan calls for a 1.5ft shy zone beside sidewalks, and municipal code explicitly bans parking on unimproved surfaces. So can we get at least 1.5ft here!!! The photo is from yesterday but the situation is the same today.
Sidewalk blocked with construction sign on north side of 17th between woodburn and kinser. In front of 314 W 17th. I believe its trying to warn about sidewalk closure for site just west of kinser. The sidewalk here is still useful to connect to sidewalks on the east side of madison and kinser, and it should not be blocked. A desire trail in the grass indicates there are pedestrians still using this route.
