Intersection of 8th and Woodlawn is in desperate need of a marked/lighted crosswalk or even a stop sign. It is very dangerous to cross as a pedestrian because traffic simply does not stop for you.
There are two bushes along N Woodlawn Ave (but one in particular that I am singling out in this complaint) that is growing over onto the sidewalk. It takes up about half the sidewalk and requires people to step onto the road verge when passing another person.
There is a 2 by 1 foot pothole that was intentionally dug in the alley that runs behind the property.So the pothole is between the property and the Hutton Honors College. Don't know if the city or party that dug it was looking for pipes or what, but the hole has been there for almost two weeks unfilled. There are 6 parking spots all in a row behind the property. The pothole is dug in such a way that it is directly behind a parking spot making the spot unusable. Also, when the pothole was initially dug there was already a car in the parking spot. The pothole was dug directly behind the tires of the car making it impossible to avoid when the car backed out. May want to instruct crews or whichever party was responsible not to do that. Retaining wall collapsing (again) on NW corner of property. Large limestone block has fallen into sidewalk, blocking wheelchair and stroller passage.
Large shrub in front of house is so large that it is mostly preventing use of the sidewalk right there. House might be an IU property. Does City have jurisdiction over Campus?
I'm assuming this is temporary, but the road is really rough in this area.
Overgrowth of foliage and brush from the property at 701 N Woodlawn Ave extends into the sidewalk and poses a hazard to pedestrians and passerby. Google Maps lists the property as bearing the addresses 701, 703 & 705; or 829 E Cottage Grove Ave.
There is a giant machine outside out my apartment for construction work. It is the week before finals and it starts making one of the loudest noises I have ever heard at 7 am. It’s ridiculous and don’t see why they can’t start at 9.
Ongoing construction project - workers have been leaving rubbish in a pile in front of the house for months.
Plants are overgrowing onto sidewalk (NE corner of property) block pedestrian and wheelchair traffic.
