I'm writing with a suggestion. I spend quite a bit of time walking and running within Bloomington. Outside of the B-line (where my experience has been mixed), I find that car drivers rarely yield to pedestrians and marked pedestrian crosswalks. I wanted to suggest that the city consider adding flashing lights to the signage at crosswalks, in the hope that it would make drivers aware they're approaching a crosswalk, and be more likely to yield to pedestrians. Please post an update on the Vernal Pike/Seventeenth Street project. Seventeenth Street was closed in April 2019 and was to be reopened in November 2019. When will the street be opened?

Thank you for the completion of the Sare Rd pedestrian path! Just outstanding! We who live in Hyde Park can now safely cross the street and access the neighborhoods and parks on the west side of the road and connect to Southeast Park! Wonderful!

On the north side of Sheridan where it intersects E First there is an overhanging branch that hits our car antenna every time we drive by. Hard to see whose property it is.

Partially blocked sidewalk because of overhanging bushes in front of 710 E First Street.

Overgrowth so severe the sidewalk is unusable for part of this section. The south side of Harmony School, on Second Street, isnt much better.

On E First Street: low hanging branches over the sidewalk. The address of the house, though, is 713 Clifton.

Query the status of cases 174610 (Febr. 1) and 175275 (March 30): low hanging branches still hitting pedestrians in the face from a tree in the yard of 713 Clifton, but the branches are on E FIRST. Hope Michael Stewart can stop by and do something about this.

The company installing fiber optic broadband destroyed part of the road in our cul-de-sac, busted a water pipe, and left the road in pretty bad shape. This is a flooding hazard and has damaged the aesthetics of the neighborhood as well.
