There need to be stop signs here or some warning that there no longer are stop signs, you guys took out the stop signs now every car races down E 7th street. It's been two days and there has already been a car crash, this could be a student next. It is not safe at all and needs action taken immediately.
Dear Government, I have been living here for about 13 years, and in this time it has become clear to me that there is a problem at the intersection between Rusgan Drive and Ramble Road West. You see this intersection has been my bus stop for years, and whether it's the dark of morning when I leave or daylight when I get back people speed right by as if there were no speed limit. This is only made worse by the fact that the intersection is half blind because it lies at the bottom of a small hill. So for the well being of myself and the children of the neighborhood I am requesting that this intersection be changed to a three way stop. I believe this would force the people of the neighborhood to drive at a more reasonable speed and therefore make my street much safer. I believe my neighbor across the street, the father of a small child, previously wrote the city requesting the same thing. I myself am just a teenager. So you know that once the problem has reached the point where a teenager takes time where they could have been doing nothing to write the city about traffic regulation, it's probably not just nothing. And considering others have written about this in the past, I frankly find it foolish to wait until someone actually gets hurt to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration, P.S. The new median at the intersection of 3rd and Grant has been helpful. However, I have seen a number of drivers who are disgruntled not being able to turn the direction they want go around the median in a dangerous way. In one instance I witnessed, I believe this caused a fender-bender accident. In another instance I experienced as a pedestrian crossing, a car made an illegal turn around the median and had to stop right before me. I suggest that there be an extra pylon placed at the ends of the median's yellow lines to disincentivize this erratic driving.
Between approximately 1910 until about 1925 on 3/21/24, I witnessed 6-8 vehicles drive south in the northbound lane in the construction area from Fountain then turning west on 7th St. The vehicles ranged from a full-size truck pulling a trailor, the kind to haul a riding lawnmower, to an either 2-door or small 4-door car and judging from the high speed at which the car drove and the timing of the next northbound car, the southbound car entered the construction zone at the same time or after the northbound car entered from Kirkwood. This was all within 15-20 minutes on the 4th day of the closure.It's going to be a problem.
Hello, there is a massive issue with drivers running red lights and stop signs in this city. I have marked a particularly bad intersection (Madison and 11th), however this issue is city-wide. The included intersection has a wall on the bridge that prevents vehicles from seeing around the corner to 11th street, which often means that people just roll right through the stop sign. I've been almost T-boned at this intersection multiple times, and I genuinely fear I may die there some day. I have already been hit once by someone ignoring traffic laws on Third Street, and have almost been hit on foot and in my vehicle countless times downtown. It has gotten to the point where I am afraid to travel around the city. There should be traffic cameras on the stop lights, and more aggressive fines to deter these people casually ignoring safety and traffic laws. I understand that it is hard to enforce stop signs, however I have witnessed (on multiple occasions) police patrol vehicles allowing people to run right through 4-way stops, and some even do it themselves. People are learning that there are absolutely no consequences for driving recklessly around the city, and it has gotten noticeably worse. Please, consider taking action about the extremely unsafe traffic situation in our city.
Like no water no school school zone signs or school crossing right there for the kids coming from the school there is no school zone sign anywhere on 17th Street or the one coming down the hill
117 S. Heritage Rd. This morning took me at least 10 m. standing by my driveway to guide my daughter back up to leave. While I was doing it, friends came by to complaint about this situation which drove them crazy. No one can argue with legal parking on the public street, is it legal to drive on the public street? If a legal driver’s vehicle hit a legal parking vehicle, who’s responsibility it is? Why under such a hazardous situation people still willing to take the risk to park their vehicles on the public street? Must be something worth to explore.
Almost to the middle of the Heritage I can see the car is coming. That’s from 3Rd street, if the car from behind the vehicle, It will come much faster without I knowing it. It is a real hazardous condition.

117 S. Heritage Rd. A friend visited this morning. I stood by my door to see her back up from my driveway, two cars approached. Those two expected she surely will yell, they just keep going, and my poor friend who can’t see through the vehicle parked on the street, just keep backing. I was holding my breath, luckily those two drivers kindly stopped and let her go first. Oh, my goodness, thanks God again. When the inspector was here, I almost offered her to sit in my 2001 Toyota Camry to take a picture. I can see everything clearly when I stand by my driveway, but when I sit in that low sit, I can’t see anything in the back of neighbor’s vehicle. Sooner or later there ought to be an accident. I just wonder who’s responsibility going to be? Why is so hard to deal with this problem? Also I noticed more cars parked along the street. We are not too far from IU, and have two bus routes to IU also. It’s closer to park here than Stadium, besides it’s free. Oh, my!
