This intersection needs a left turn only lane for cars turning off of 10th St. North onto Range Road. Sometimes cars in the lane for going straight swerve into the right lane to get around cars waiting to turn left even though visibility for this is poor and could confuse drivers turning right onto 10th St. from Pete Ellis. Just park in the post office parking lot and observe this intersection around 5 - 6 pm on a weekday and you can see for yourself. A left turn lane would greatly reduce accidents at this intersection.

Biking & Walking

The intersection of Pete Ellis Dr./Discovery Parkway and 10th Street is used by residents of numerous apartment complexes, bus riders, and community members accessing the post office and the greenway that goes along 10th St. The intersection is necessary for access to Indiana University from Woodbridge and Fountain Park Apartments, which hosts many graduate students. However, there is no crosswalk, pedestrian lights, or sidewalk platforms to allow for safe crossing along this very busy intersection. Additionally, the traffic lights are not able to be seen from the four corners of the intersection, forcing pedestrians to make an educated guess on when to cross. In short, the intersection is dangerous and near impossible to cross. Would it be at all possible in the future to include a) a crosswalk b) a pedestrian crosswalk light c) sidewalk cutout/curb ramps on the two corners in which there is not one currently? For the past ten days, garbage and trash has continually been added to this second story porch. There is also animal waste as the owner’s 2 dogs were locked outside previously. With the warming weather, this trash is unsanitary and very foul-smelling to neighbors. The landlord’s number at The Crossing at Pete Ellis says they’re not in office until May, so there’s no way to leave a voicemail to ask the apt landlord to address this issue internally. I live directly behind this apt at 3405 E Longview at Colonial East, but this 2nd story apt is part of The Crossing at Pete Ellis - I believe this address is near or at 3244 Braeside Dr., Bloomington IN. We would like these neighbors to remove the smelly trash from their porch to the proper trash containers on the property instead of continually adding to the pile.

Woman living in car outside framemakers - not paying parking meter and area around car covered in trash. Wakes up local residents in the middle of the night screaming profanities. Not sure why the city is allowing this behavior. Attempted to call the mayors office but they have stopped responding to calls.

I live on a narrow road that is circular. One way in; one way out. There are 10 homes on our road and 2 of the homes have small children. I like to be able to take my dogs for a walk on our road as well. Because of our wooded area, the heavy brush and the turns in the road, it is VERY difficult for a driver to see very far ahead of them or supposedly to drive more than 15 miles an hour safely. Many visitors and delivery/service people don't seem to be able to be cautious despite the conditions. At my own expense would like to post a sign that is 24" X 18" on or near a large tree that faces the entrance to my neighborhood. It doesn't appear that any one person owns the property that the tree is on. I wonder if I can legally do this or do I have to get permission from the street department? There is not a sidewalk and as I said, there road is barely passable for 2 vehicles. My dogs and I have had to run to find a safe place to be before cars come flying towards us or from behind. Mayor's office received complaint of parking on the lawn. He moves the vehicles for a little while, and then moves vehicles back on the lawn. This is also happening at 3141 and 3132 Valleyview and 901 Briarcliff.

Potholes, Other Street Repair

"Sare Rd" street sign on the NE corner of the Sare&Rogers roundabout was found on the roadway (and traffic was unfortunately driving over it). I moved it to the grass on the NE corner (see picture attached). Hopefully, still usable and can be reinstalled on the empty sign post. Thanks for your kind assistance!

I need to report a tenant who is living at a storage facility by renting out an office space and is also using it for vehicle storage with multiple trucks being stored out in the driveways. This is causing a concern and an issue. This has been informed to the landlord and still continues.
