The house at 909 S Dunn Street had a tree removed last week. Whomever hauled away the debris dumped the stump on our property and it is close to blocking the city fire hydrant. It needs to be removed.

N/S running sidewalk on the east side of S Sare Rd is very overgrown, including poison ivy patches. This is a City-maintained path. Would be cool for it to be cut back!

Looks like two bed frames were dumped on the northside of the Bloomington Rail Trail, across from the raised shed/treehouse on Ellington Farm

Very large pothole on Huntington near Hillside. Any cyclist running over it will likely result in falls and injuries.

The detour sign by the beeline Trail blocks the view of traffic crossing the B line where I came very close to a bicyclist because they were right behind that big orange square

Traffic Signals
411 Indiana 45 46 Bypass
- Case Date:

The new sensor traffic lights for north/south traffic at the Dunn/Hwy 45 intersection do not sense bicycles. Because the lights differentiate between the left turn and straight lanes, and most traffic is turning left onto the bypass (in both directions) there are often few cars going straight and the straight green light is often not activated - it remains red and only the left turn green lights are activated. Unfortunately there are not good alternative options for bikers, since there are no bike lanes or paths north of the bypass, so bikes must share the driving lanes with cars up to that point. Using the light is the most reasonable approach for cyclists and bike commuters, as there is no other safe access to get to city neighborhoods north of the bypass.

I wanted to let someone be aware that while driving home yesterday (9/8/25) around 3:20pm, there was a city vehicle pulling onto 69 south from 46. This driver was flying - once he passed me he kept flying. I was speeding myself at 80mph(in my personal vehicle) and i couldn't keep up. He got behind a semi in the middle lane and i took the left lane to pass. Not only was he going 80 he was also talking on his hand held phone. He eventually passed me again and kept going onto 37 south past the light at Victor Pike. He was in car #503. I could care less if he was in his personal vehicle but he was in a city vehicle, what a horrible way to represent this city! I couldn't have been more disappointed in our city knowing we have employees like that. I would hope someone is able to address this employee regarding his driving in a city vehicle. thanks!
Unsafe Buildings

The main electric wire from the pole to this house has been hanging low for nearly a full year after a limb fell on the wire and pulled the wire holder attachment anchor out of the house structure.
We (Chickering Rentals) own and manage a rental next to this property at 1006 e 1st, and the electric wire for 1002 e 1st is hanging low enough to touch in our back yard and creating a hazard.
I alerted Duke and they informed me that they cannot do anything to re-hang the wire until the property owner at 1002 e 1st re-mounts the wire holder anchor, or installs new service mast. I attempted to reach out to the owner of 1002 e 1st to ask them to make the necessary repair and was unsuccessful.
Not sure if the city can do anything about this to help. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks, Justin
