City Performance

205 E 14th ST

Case Date:
6/25/2022

I had previously submitted ureport 180261 complaining about the state of E 14th St. It was closed out with a vague message that it'd be resurfaced "later this month". I realize it is still June and it may still get repaired, but the road has just continued to get worse and worse. The dust is ridiculous. I'm not sure if anyone at the city understands that days matter. Even if it is resurfaced next week, it is still several weeks past due. Has anyone at the city even driven down it??! I also happened to read that the same developer that turned 14th St into a gravel road is now the same developer who has messed up the intersection of 17th and Walnut. I can hardly believe that anyone would allow them to do more work on city roads when they clearly don't care at all about repairing other work they've done.

Traffic Suggestions

Is there a way to level Allen St from the stop sign back about 50 feet at the Bloomfield Rd intersection? The slope causes accidents and near accidents. We've had 3 cars in our yard since we've been there. We've had to fix up the chain link fence best we could. In 2 situations, our gas meter was hit, which is a serious hazard. Alternatively, could Bloomfield Rd be made inaccessible from Allen St (either a one way or block it off)? Thank you for reading this. Sincerely, Theo

Street Trees

200 E 17th ST

Case Date:
7/17/2024

There is a very large tree in the street right of way that was damaged in the storm three weeks ago. A huge limb is left hanging. When that limb falls someone will be hurt possibly killed. Whose responsibility is it to take down? The limb would no doubt fall into the street.

Animal Control & Neglected Pets

There is a coyote family living in the woods by the RR. There is a mother and at least two pups. They seem to hang out directly north of 127 E. 12th on the south side of the tracks. They come out in the evenings and early mornings and maybe all night long and run around the neighborhood. Does the city ever trap and relocate wild animals that are potentially dangerous? We don't want them killed, just would rather they live somewhere else.
