Excessive speeding (meaning more than 5 mph over the posted speed limits) continues on 17th St. This includes very large trucks (semis, construction trucks, etc.) and even some MCCS busses. Some vehicles go way over the speed limit. Suggestions for improving this situation? Even adding just one more mph sign each on both sides of the road might help (at least help those drivers who tend to drive more or less at posted limits).

I am physically disabled live alone. Moved to this (section 8) reside in November. I am unable to mxnsg the parts to my disability. So my rhuematologist submitted a letter stating g my issues s the employees sh do the trash/ recycle CARTS will bri g them back to.my yard/porch sftrvesch pickup. To date this has been done once! I get caretakers who do so for me often but in the event they forget or I do not get one my trash/ recycling carts sit at the road risking causing harm to other motorist if fall over. Which oftentimes happens to I am on a slope/hill. The manager might hold me in lease viol as well!

During the fall of 2020, annual maintenance of the electric wires on the right side of the street (heading south) was done. I don’t know if it’s the city, Duke Energy, or a company who performs this task but today I am writing to complain about the results of the work. It affects the following locations * Beginning at 1816 S High heading south through 2011 S High * And again beginning at 2020 S High heading south through 2021 S High As an avid gardener, it is painful to look at the way the trees are trimmed in the first place. This is the most egregious offense. And just as important, the trees and limbs that were removed are randomly thrown on the ground and it is a visual eyesore. When I look at this I wonder why all the trees aren’t just removed from both stretches on South High? Who is responsible for this mess and what can be done about it? It is shoddy work and our town of Bloomington shouldn’t allow for it.

We were charged over $300 under sanitation for "Large Item Pick up", however, were not responsible for any items that were allegedly picked up. I have tried to get in contact with the sanitation department for the past month with no avail. I would like to get this issue resolved so I am not responsible for the charges or the late fees that could potentially accrue. I spoke with two Martha Street residents who mentioned that they are seeing many people taking a short cut through the culvert that runs east-west between Matlock Heights and Lower Cascades. They indicated that following some utilities work, they were expecting workers to install a No Trespassing or Private Property sign to deter such foot traffic, but that no such sign has been installed. Could you follow up and see what might be done at this site? Thanks!
