Snow plow and salt/sand request. Trucks do a great job at the front of the Westbrook Downs neighborhood but they don't appear to have used any kind of salt/sand or super scrap the back part of the neighborhood. This particular section (just prior to the Crider St turn) has a small hill that for 3 days running I've been unable to make it and had to back up and go the other way. Typically they hit this section as much as they do the front. Thanks for all you do!

Does the City not recycle newspaper any more? Most of my recycling materials were picked up early this morning, but I was puzzled to find that the newspapers were left in the bottom of the bin. I finally went out about 1pm and brought them back inside. Should I not put my newspapers out anymore?

This morning when I went out to gather up my carts I noticed that the bar that goes across the middle of the front of my small trash cart was only in one hole. The bar fell completely off completely as I pulled the cart up the driveway. I assume that bar is essential for emptying the cart. Do you have any advice about how I can get the bar to fit back in both holes? At the moment it’s in one hole and angled up at about a 30 degree angle, which doesn’t seem very useful. Just out of curiosity, what is the expected life-span of the carts? They are already starting to look beat up. My recycling cart has a piece missing on the corner of the lid. MISSED YARD WASTE- RADIO CREW WAS PICKED UP
