Unsafe walking conditions on sidewalk due to lack of snow and ice removal
Unsafe walking conditions on sidewalk due to lack of snow and ice removal
I saw numerous nails (probably 100+) in this intersection, mostly on the east side of Miller in the crosswalk while out walking dogs on 2/8 in the afternoon.
deep sand and gravel collects on trail due to elevated soil and grass blocking proper draining. The worst area is on trail corner adjacent to Moores Pike and culvert underneath. The area becomes problematic for wheelchairs and strollers when muddy. risky for kids on bikes and scooters. thanks
trail from parking lot near shelter to the tennis courts is not ADA compliant and hasn't been compliant for years. Rest of trail has lots of bumps and surface issues.
Entire trail system needs care. from Sherwood oaks park to trail around football field. Very overgrown, unsafe paved surface due to roots and thin pavement.
Sometime last weekend someone threw the cones that are on the High Street sidepath, where the guy wires for the telephone pole extend into the path, over the fence. A couple of them have been retrieved, but others are on private property. The cones need to be set back up. Better yet, the guy wire situation should be taken care of.
We have been having gastrointestinal issues for the past 2.5 weeks and want the water to be tested for coliform.
Near the sidewalk toward the parking lot (where it rounds to drive back around), there is a large hole that is difficult to see. Last evening, I stepped in it and rolled my ankle. I wanted to share so no one else gets hurt. I am happy to help locate it with photos are meeting someone there. I didn't have a chance to take a photo as I could barely walk and wasn't focused on the safety thoughts in the future.
I'd like for the water to be tested for giardia and cryptosporidium. I sent in a report weeks ago that was not resolved.
Early in the mornings, when driving on 3rd Street at the High St. intersection, the light is usually red for 3rd St. traffic. When it turns green, it only remains green for about 12 seconds, so I end up having to stop and wait there every day even when there is no traffic on High St. The way the timers are set now, the green remains on longer for High St. even when there are no cars there but remains green for 3rd St. traffic for only about a dozen seconds before turning yellow and then red, so we're forced to stop almost every day even though heavier traffic goes through 3rd St.! I ask that the time for green for 3rd St. traffic be made longer, say at least 30 seconds for 3rd St., or better yet, kept green unless a car shows up on High St. The way it is right now, it's as if more traffic is supposed to go through High St. when the opposite is true. This is causing wasted time each day, which adds up to quite a lot in the long run, so I ask that the green timer for 3rd St. traffic be extended or made to remain green as the default because the reverse is happening right now!! Many thanks!
