The issue associated with Case #193767 has not been corrected. Large, smelly dumpster on the east side of Lincoln between 14th and 15th Streets remains on the sidewalk and almost into the street. This really is not completely the fault of the property owner. Can Rumpke be fined for placing it in a public thoroughfare?
Construction site workers have removed a portion of the dumpster enclosure on the alley, sitting at the NW corner of 325 E. 10th property parking lot. This left a dangerous 6" square hole where a support post had previous been. Not clear if the hole is on private property or in the alley, but it is dangerous now for people or small animals.

The intersection of Pete Ellis and 10th St is incredibly dangerous for pedestrians. There are no crosswalks or pedestrian signals. Those living in Fountain Park Apartments must cross the street to access the bus stop and have no safe way of doing so.
The intersection of Pete Ellis Dr./Discovery Parkway and 10th Street is used by residents of numerous apartment complexes, bus riders, and community members accessing the post office and the greenway that goes along 10th St. The intersection is necessary for access to Indiana University from Woodbridge and Fountain Park Apartments, which hosts many graduate students. However, there is no crosswalk, pedestrian lights, or sidewalk platforms to allow for safe crossing along this very busy intersection. Additionally, the traffic lights are not able to be seen from the four corners of the intersection, forcing pedestrians to make an educated guess on when to cross. In short, the intersection is dangerous and near impossible to cross. Would it be at all possible in the future to include a) a crosswalk b) a pedestrian crosswalk light c) sidewalk cutout/curb ramps on the two corners in which there is not one currently? I’ve had some health problems while staying in my apartment here in fountain park apartments due to black mold and a mice infestation. The black mold was found in my kitchen next to the water heater where it had flooded that year and soaked into the wood and rotted. They sprayed it with something to make it go away but I believe it’s still inside of the walls and other parts of the apartment. I’ve been having breathing problems the entire time I’ve stayed here and have documented it all. The apartment manager had someone do an air test inside and outside of the apartment. I don’t feel safe because of my existing health issues and I barely stay in my apartment. My apartment has flooded many times and according to my neighbor this has happened for years because of poor plumbing.
