Please have the city traffic software programmers review this signal's program. It is basically ignoring the street sensors for westbound traffic on 3rd.

At the intersection of E 3rd St & Hillsdale to the north & Woodscrest to the south, the traffic light is disproportionately lengthy for the traffic traveling on Hillsdale/Woodscrest. The majority of the traffic goes east/west on E 3rd St., yet the light stays red/green for an excessive amount of time relative to the traffic that passes in the respective directions.
The signal light at Third and Woodcrest always thinks there is a car turning left, even when both East and west traffic in the turn lane is empty
Left turn arrow for both Ebound & Wbound activates when no cars are in turn lanes. Everyone stationary for 20-30 seconds.
I often find that this light is red for traffic on 3rd street, with many cars stopped and waiting most times I cross this intersection. There is much more traffic on 3rd street than Woodscrest and Hillsdale. It has often led me to believe that the light might be mistimed, biassed towards the traffic crossing 3rd street. I am not at all sure that it is indeed mistimed, but it seems like it, and might be worth checking if there is a way to assess that issue. (I don't know how street light timing is optimized) Thanks for considering! Sincerely, Andrew Goldman
The pedestrian crossing buttons at all four corners of East Third Street and Hillsdale/Woodscrest aren't working. Pedestrians never get a walk signal. In addition, the traffic light stays green for Third Street car traffic until a vehicle pulls up on Hillsdale or Woodscrest to wait at the light (meaning pedestrians often must try to cross when there are drivers turning left across the crosswalk).
Not really an issue per say. More a general question. For people walking down third street is there any way for them speed up the light change when there is no cross traffic coming? I normally try to give it two minutes to change? I've noticed it doesn't change automatically unless there is physical cross traffic sitting at the light. Some nights I have enough time to truly wait other nights when running late waiting there is far to much time in my own opinion. If there isn't that's cool. As I said I'm just curious. Thank-you for your time :)
Signal was operating in flashing red mode about 0930 hrs 1/29/2025. FYI. Intersection of 3rd/Hillsdale/Woodscrest.
Wreckless driver of a Black Ferrari lost control, veered off road, and took out a tree and the Roundhill Ct. street sign. Police notified. Sign needs replaced.
Walk light does not turn on to cross S Henderson St. That’s going west on E Winslow Rd using the sidewalk on its south side.
