Trail not cleared properly of storm damage, trees hanging precariously directly over trail
There were two big barrels on the north side of a utility pole. One of them is down by Rhorer Road; the other one is near where it's supposed to be but close to the creek rather than by the pole.
Yesterday afternoon I was chased by 2 large dogs on the new southern extension of the Jackson Creek Trail, near the end at Rhorer Road. One of the dogs is all black, and the other some sort of pit bull mix. I wasn't able to determine which house they might have come from.
The Jackson Creek trail south of Sherwood Oaks Park extending to Rhorer is like a sheet of ice and very treacherous.
There's a point on the Jackson Creek trail near Rhorer Rd. where a stupid cable supporting a utility pole is anchored in the middle of the path. It's very hard to see in low light conditions and this poses a risk to pedestrians and cyclists. Normally there's a reflective orange and white barrel by the cable to warn people, but someone has thrown it in the creek.
On the Jackson Creek Trail going south from Sherwoods Oaks Park and almost to Rhorer Road, there is a guy wire from the utility pole that is in the path. There have been various things used to keep people from running into the wire. Up until June, there were two orange barrels. I reported in June that one of them was in the creek. Now the remaining barrel is in the creek. It is on the bank not far past the guy wire. If you want to use barrels to protect the wire, they need to be secured, since both barrels have now been tossed into the creek.
Barrel and cones in the creek instead of warning of utility poles and guy wires.
There is a deep pothole that almost crushed my tire and broke my rim at this location.
Potholes on both sides of Winslow at the roundabout on S High St.
