Parking Permits
600–698 N Dunn St
- Case Date:

This is a photo looking south on Dunn from Cottage Grove. I've walked to and from class several days now and there are always cars parked on both sides of the street here. One side of the street (the far side in this photo) has clear No Parking signage. With cars parked on both sides, I don't think fire trucks could make it through here if needed. This appears to be a regular problem area that Parking should check daily if not more frequently.

Biking & Walking

Vehicles on north Washington are constantly parking in the bike lane. Parking enforcement has indicated this is not a violation they ticket. Why not?
Also, why do we even have bike lanes that are less than half a meter wide?

When W 6th St was repaved they left some utility access places (sometimes called "manholes") lower than the street surface. These could easily bend a bicycle wheel and could cause a cyclist to be injured. There are one or more of these in each block in the 500, 600, & 700 blocks. Some are near the north curb and are sometimes (but not always) covered by parked cars, and some are in the westbound driving lane.
