Mr. Shaw attended Telecom. Council meeting to complain that TCI has not been cooperative in laying of cable at new developments and burying drops. He reported a specific recent problem where TCI contractors installed cable in an unacceptable location without consultation with him.
Vacant lot next to 420 w 2nd is overgrown with weeds.
At the Hertz rental they have not mowed this year. It won’t be long and you won’t be able to see the cars for the grass.
Deep potholes from extra traffic and trucks on street right next to 4 spot parking lot for houses at 825 and 827 W. 1st. The street is named as Wylie on street sign but is actually Euclid until it curves east into Wylie. It’s damaging to cars trying to park in our parking lot as well as other cars or bikes or pedestrians traveling on the street.
Street barricades blew down two nights ago. Very dangerous in terms of projectiles hitting people and property. Also hard to see at night for thru traffic on W. 1st.,
W. 1st seems to be open through Walnut as of 12/23/24. There are no speed limit signs anymore. It used to be 20 I believe. People are zooming by excite that it’s open but it’s dangerous for animals and pedestrians. Also does no parking still apply? Speed Signage and oversight needed asap.
Potholes on W. 1st and Wylie/Euclid from big trucks/heavy traffic in demolition work past few years. Right by parking lot for rental houses.
Someone left a bag of trash near the roundabout connecting W Arlington Rd, W 17th St and N Monroe St across from Tri-North Middle School. The trash has spilled over into the lanes of traffic and could be hazardous. Picture of location attached.
Need anothr speed limit sign or another speed hump between roundabout and the existing hump near Crescent Road. --Request from streetside residents of Crescent Bend Neighborhood Association. Safety concerns.
