Hello, I'm reaching out on behalf of my employer Hanapin Marketing. We currently reside in the Showers complex at 501 N. Morton Street, and our employees share the Showers Red Parking Lot with County employees. Over the last 6 months, we have all noticed a rise in crime in the parking lot, particularly with theft. I've attached several police reports that have been filed in the last few months to support these claims. These are the incidents that were reported to the police, however, there have been others as well that were never filed. For example, in early January one of our employees had his door handle ripped off his car entirely. We are hoping that the city will notice this trend and assist us in our request to advocate for higher security and/or additional patrols in that area to deter thefts. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions. Best, Pharyne Stephney pharyne.stephney@hanapinmarketing.com
Both Mon. and Tues. (today) the wait to get through the light at E Moores Pike and High Street was extremely long. I travel west on Moores Pike/Hillside every weekday between 8:30am and 9:00am. Today the traffic was backed up all the way to the Moores Pike Roundabout. It \probably took at least 5 cycles of the stop light before I was through that intersection. Note: The last time I reported a similar situation at this stop light, it was a bad sensor. Thank you.
Attempting to turn left onto Hillside onto Washington is extremely difficult during high traffic times. Contributing to this is the very poor sight line when attempting to see oncoming traffic - the hill up from walnut blocks westbound traffic to a degree, and the porch structure built to the property line at 202 E Hillside makes it very hard to see eastbound traffic. What could be done to make this intersection feel less perilous?
After the heavy rain, the 'usual' potholes have appeared again on the south side of e Second Street, from the intersection with High all the way until the STOP-sign at the intersection of Second and Woodcrest.
Hello, I was wondering if there was any place on the city website that lists local businesses? If so, is it possible to request a business or nonprofit be added to the website? Thanks and have a great day!
The American Flag at the entrance to Blue Ridge, off of Walnut, is upside down.
There is no sign indicating 'Arden' street at the intersection of High and Arden. It makes it complicated giving directions! Thanks.
There is a street light out at the back of then Cardinal Stage building.
I am part of the Executive Committee of the Eastside Neighborhood Association, and we have had several neighbors report difficulties with trash at 707 S. Clifton Ave. This week there is trash and recycling left by the curb, with the tenants evidently out of town. If this is in violation of local ordinances, we ask that the city please respond appropriately. Thank you for your response. Allison Schnable 500 S. Clifton
