Trash

Case Date:
9/7/2021

826 S Eastside Drive, cardboard boxes in yard, have been there for about 2 weeks. Monday was recycling. Not picked up, because they were not IN the recycling can. 1718 Circle Drive, trash pickup and recycling was Monday. Both cans still at the curb, plus 2 old chairs. These people need a friendly reminder that cans need to be removed from the curb within 24 hours after trash pick up has taken place. Week after week the cans are still sitting there days after pick up.

City Performance

I had to call 911 for medical assistance for someone who was breathing, but appeared unconscious and was unresponsive. Around 10 min. later a police officer arrived for a well fare check and then he called for an ambulance. It ended up being more than 20 minutes after I'd called 911 that EMTs arrived. Why wouldn't they have sent an ambulance immediately? What I described to the dispatcher was a medical emergency. I understand that resources are tight, but I felt very frustrated and concerned for the unconscious person.

Recycling

Case Date:
9/8/2021

Referring to closed case #177273 (topless recycle can). We are very sorry about the confusion, but indeed, the can was gone from the curb the day after I reported this, so it is clear why you could not find it. Here is a picture from this morning and my husband's comment: 'The 'Rooming House' at 414/416 Mitchell. Recycling Bin has been without its top for months. What's in it today does not look like recycling.'

Biking & Walking

Case Date:
9/8/2021

See case 177221 https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=177221 The resolution here is disappointing. Cyclists need to be able to clear intersections before lights turn red. For reference, my bike weights in at about 30 pounds and is not lightweight.

Trash

Case Date:
9/8/2021

Three unit apartment building at 203 E 10th seems to need more gray top trash containers so the residents won’t leave bags laying around the sidewalk impeding pedestrians and making a big mess on Washington street which is existing now. Please help if possible. Thanks. Really appreciate this city service towards keeping Bloomington downtown safe and civil!
