Saw the sanitation truck today took both trash and recycling containers in the same truck. Is this normal?
A tenant of this building reported there is a transient in one of the restrooms on the 6th floor. Caller said he thinks the person is smoking.
Residents growing concerned about the force fit of the north west side of county for new jail complex location. Is the city council and administration working to advocate for a more centralized area? This should not be placed to impact commuters, the adjacent retirement homes and elderly and minor care facilities nearby, in addition to various homes and the adjacent community to this “north park” location. The south side of Bloomington received backing to prevent the rezone and placement of the facility there, which arguably is a better location than this new proposal! Will the Council and Administration be stepping up to get the County to consider alternate plans and locations? The karsts, adjacent quarries, and potential for park land to the north west should be considered as high priority instead of an incarceration center. We’re not in favor of increasing the jail size or this location!
The light has been out for about a month. We assume it is a city maintained light.
"Golden Retriever Puppies for Sale" sign under the I-69 sign in the grass at 2642 E Third Street (Chase Bank), possibly in the ROW.
Re: 1709 E Circle Drive. Maybe it is time to remember the tenants that the broken office chair that they first had in front of their house for weeks, but then moved towards the neighbor house at 1805 Southdowns, will not magically disappear unless they call the Sanitation Department for an extra trash pickup.
at the traffic signal at 14th and walnut, there is a painted/thermoplastic stop bar missing. westbound traffic approaching walnut does not have a white bar on the pavement to indicate they should stop before the crosswalk. i presume it got lost when that stretch of east 14th was resurfaced just before "the standard" apartment project was completed. i just want to see this intersection as legible as possible so that traffic on 14th street doesn't misinterpret the stop light. thanks!
