I work in the office at mccsc transportation. Bus drivers are asking if trees/bushes can be trimmed at the railroad tracks just past W 10th St on N Adams St to help with their visibility. They're not able to see clearly when stopping there. Thank you for your help.

At Thornton Dr. and Henderson St. there is a line of sight issue looking south down Henderson while on Thornton. The stop sign on Thorton is back from the intersection and a driver cannot see users of the multi-use trail or traffic coming from the south on Henderson without pulling forward to the point of the vehicle being into the crossing for the multi-use path on Thornton. This has been a problem for a while. Today, I was stopped at the stop sign and about to slowly move forward to the point where I could see traffic when a bicycle heading north on the multi-use path coming down the hill from Miller along Henderson at a decent speed went flying by in front of my car without regard to the cross traffic pulling out. I'm not sure who would end up at fault when a cyclist goes over the hood of a car there in such a scenario but it seems better if the City can address the problem immediately instead of wait for someone to get hurt. I have seen similar issues with scooters coming down the hill there.

Low hanging branch over sidewalk in front of property. I am 5’8” tall and needed to duck to walk under the limb. I fear it could be very dangerous for someone who is sight impaired.

Hello, this is in reference to #199395 that my wife submitted. it appears that they only had covered over less than half of the bad road. Our neighbors yard was also just run over the other day and somebody came back to put hay on it. Our curb also gets run over and has damaged our trees before. This is to ask if we could put some sort of guard rail or not a rail, but a guard pole to keep cars off of our properties. And to report the unfinished roadwork. Thanks for your time. I hope this voice to text isn’t too bad.

Tree and brush growth needs to be cut back to provide better visibility at the intersection of Brighton Crest and Smith Road. When you are exiting from Brighton Crest facing west and looking south, the tree and brush growth limits your line of sight. Traffic travels at high speed (much faster than the posted speed limit) which further compounds this problem. The hilly nature of Smith Road also makes the line of sight less. Increased speed enforcement and tree and brush removal would make this much safer. As a longer term project, Smith Road needs to be redesigned and developed with considerations made for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles. This is a dense residential area and yet Smith Road remains a hilly and dangerous country road.
