When trying to make a turn from Orris Dr onto W. 11th St, the excessive growth from this home obscures the view enough to where a driver has to stick the nose of his/her car all the way out on 11th to be able to see if the way is clear. Obviously, this is dangerous. It could cause an accident with cars, schools busses running to and from Tri-North, or any pedestrian walking down the sidewalk - which, in and of itself, is obscured.
I just returned home from downtown Bloomington. Not one single sidewalk leading to a crosswalk has been shoveled. I found it quite dangerous to walk through the snow and ice to cross the street. I am required by law to clear my sidewalks within 24 hours after the end of a snow storm and do so religiously. Yet here it is three days after the end of the last storm and no effort has been made to clear the crosswalk sidewalks. Why must I obey the law if our own city government and mayor are aloud to violate this law. This is inexcusable not to mention discriminatory. Shame on Mayor Hamilton and his government. The residents at 1122 W. 6th Street have never taken their trash bin/recycling bin off their sidewalk or front lawn (just off the sidewalk) since the very start of when the bins were delivered. They frequently just leave it right in the middle of the sidewalk for days. According to the rules, they aren't supposed to be there all week.
The sidewalk surrounding Taco Bell on the corner of 7th and Walnut is impassable. It is a lethal hazard. Can you ask them to clear it? Walk it yourself to see. Thank you
Hello, I'm attempting to get this resolved before it becomes a hard frozen hazard as it has in year's past. This is the sidewalk next to Taco Bell at 7th & Walnut. It is also the only way I can get to One City Centre from the Walnut Street Garage. I don't understand how they get a "pass" on sidewalk cleanup, yet CFC is very prompt about clearing the walk way (see clear sidewalk on horizon of attached photo). It becomes impassable in very cold temps. Please ask them to clear this hazard. You may reach me at Karen Boehnlein 812-360-6467 Karen@wgclradio.com Thank you
at 1217 W 6 Street. Weeds, including possible poison ivy, overgrowing the sidewalk
From Citizen e-mail: 1400 Atwater. Shrubs encroaching on the sidewalk.
Uninhabited rental at 1900 Hillside has a long sidwalk by the bus stop that never gets shoveled. This is a very busy sidewalk leading to the bus stop and it needs to be clear.
South sidewalk at Alison jukebox is covered in snow. Tues 1/22/19
